October 9, 20232 yr When they implement the replay on strikes/balls it will also benefit even more the teams such as the Marlins that use the Brant Brown philosophy of staying in the strike zone.

Jazz wouldn't be Jazz if he accepted his flaws and weaknesses. It's kinda scary cuz Jazz has all the personality traits to be an umpire once his playing career is over. Once he is old and grey and can no longer pass for being 'cool' and 'swaggy' he will be perfect megalomaniac MLB umpire that they look for.

Jazz would never be an umpire because he could never be on the field without his name on the back of his jersey.

Acuña would be an even worse ump as he'd immediately toss any pitcher throwing inside (or in his case just the inner part of the strike zone). He'd then probably steal the batters bat and flip it for emphasis.

October 10, 20232 yr Author Is there a quality source for what percentage of balls and strikes are called right or wrong at the team level? I’d expect biases to show up over large samples, so I’d be fascinated to see how that is or isn’t true.

Unless whoever does that has a compliation of all of them per team, someone would have to go through all 1200 whatever games and build a report per team. Honestly sounds like something I'd do if i had more time haha.
