There were plenty of guys to sign this offseason that would've helped this team.  Just because Soler left and Sandy doesn't mean you do nothing - if anything, that means you have to do MORE to build on last year's success.  This idea that player x and y are gone, let's throw in the towel is pathetic.

Loria would've given higher contracts......contracts he likely didn't intend to pay the whole value/term of.....but higher and would've signed guys because he saw there was winning potential.

Also there are rumors all the time.  We weren't linked to anyone except Anderson.  There was no talk of us offering deals to anyone.

Skip for sure.  He'll be the fall guy for inexcusable FO moves (or lack thereof).

I always hate when I budget so poorly like that and only give myself 4 'free' hours.  Should have just budgeted for a full 8 hour day tbh.

I dont think the industry will think any less of Skip if this season is a disaster of biblical proportions.

The industry is already pretty critical of the ingridients given to Skip essentially so its not his fault for things to go bad wich such poor ingridients.

Ng deserves blame here too. The Marlins largely failed to draft and develop talent during her tenure. She was very good at trades for the most part but kinda stunk with everything else.

Can someone please explain to me why Skip is a good manager?  Its true that the team went to the playoffs last year, but he also did a lot of dumb things, like refusing to bench struggling veteran players.  I don't think his management of the pitching was very good either.

She had 2 years at most when she was in charge of the draft.

That draft class hasnt even fucking matriculated to the majors yet.  Thats an unfair criticism (AT THIS POINT).  Save that talking point for 2026.
