I know slumps are a part of baseball. All Im saying if this continues he needs to go because it is affecting the team. He needs to contribute offensively and if he isn't we need to bring someone else in. Again yes slumps are a part of baseball, but when it lasts extremely long someone needs to take action and I assume Loria will take action if Mike continues to hit the way he is.

I would be upset of any of my sports teams left as well, but it would not affect my pride in my community, city or state.. Were you not proud of your area before the Marlins came to town?? Panthers?? Heat?? Ive got friends in Toronto and though they lost their team, they are still proud of their city.. You can't blame hurricanes and injuries for us missing the post-season last year. I mean that is why you need to be productive as much as you can. We need to start heating up now. Not in August or September. Yes I think Mikey and JP will start hitting sooner or later. But their bats begin to heat up late in the season and not soon, then something seriously needs to be done. We need to win as much as we can now. And hey as much as we can all the time. Because baseball might be a marathon and not a sprint, but you have to always win no matter what. Obviously nobody here is asking for a team to be 162-0....LMAO...But the bottom line is we lost 2 of our last 11 and that is unacceptable. We need to begin winning. And for that to happen someone needs to step up or our FO has to do something about it.

How about trading Lowell and Mota for someone who can make a tremendous impact on the team? Bring Cabs to 3B and put Willingham in LF. Conine in RF and have him switch with Enc if he isn't traded. If not trade him as well . :confused

Mikey needs to start getting splinters on his butt. This is getting out of hand. And I can't believe JP has been slumping a lot. He usually does it for a few games and gets out of it but his has been going on for quite a while as well.

In the bottom of the 4th, Beckett had just given up his third hit (two of assisted by bad fielding plays). Beckett was laboring. I would have thought for sure someone would have approached Beckett to settle him down and reassure him that he can trust the defense.
