AND we don't even know how burnett will do in the post-season.........theirs plenty out there.....want a bat so bad, their is some rebuilding teams, and some that have figured their out of it.

ESPN has reported the Cubs receiving Normar Garciaparra from the Boston Red Sox in a three-team trade that would send Randy Johnson to the Bo Sox with the Diamondbacks receiving a bunch of prospect from both parties. If this went down the Bo Sox reportedly would also receive Alex S Gonzalez........Should we fear this for later on in the play-offs? Looks like the Cubs are really beefing up eh? The good thing is that Nomar would be a 1 year rental and they'd be losing prospects that can later hurt us......! :confused

My take is if the MArlins were to make a swap they'd have to get a bullpen arm AND a bat in the same deal with part of the contracts taken cared of......

With the deadline nearing is Admin Beinfest going to even alter our roster with some bullpen help, or maybe even an extra bat such as Steve Finley? Are we really ready to breakup the best double-play combo in baseball when we can simply upgrade our offense at another expendable position. I remember hearing that we were in the hunt of getting Vlad for 10 mills in the offseason, therfore I see Beltran at 5.5 or even less being a possibility, remember Jeff Loria is high on big name guys.............I have a feeling that Carlos Beltran will be wearing teal sooner than u think, he will be a Marlin.........start the countdown. Remember if we trade key pieces from the farm system, we are awarded two draft choices from the team that signs him in the offseason, unless we some how get him to stay which is what everyone else wants, maybe am getting ahead on myself, but I seriously think he will be wearing teal soon......it's a perfect vision, he'd look perfect in teal :-)....and he fits our style with his speed.....

Jeff Conine will be the srtarter at first against RJ, it was said in yesterday's game.

After each game go to Gate A and you are always guaranteed to land atleast 2 autographs......but you must be patient cause players have to take a bath and stuff, they always come out through those gate, key is to be aggressive, but Marlins players are always easy to catch especially after a game.....

AND for those of you that don't know me I'm a Marlin fan since it all begun and not a BANDWAGON FAN, check back many posts on ESPN boards, am an original MARLIN fan, many on this board should recognize that, they probably seen me along the way.
