1. When a chick looks that good and can make her body do things like that, you ask no questions, just buy a wedding ring. :lol 788598 Kids....you don't buy a girl like that a wedding ring. You buy her a dozen roses and a dinner....and if you're lucky have 1 good night. If your Dad had married a girl like this you wouldn't be here today. Mom to be would have split a long time ago.
2. You're a lucky man Dodge. Those seats will be awesome. You and your honey will feel like you're peeking over Encarnacion's left shoulder. You're right in line to catch a Delgado ball that he hits 400 feet just barely foul. Good luck and have fun.
3. Is there an option here to IGNORE posts by some kids? Some are better off just not seeing at all....to respond to them is ridiculous.
4. Thank you RFerry. That was a good read. Agree, disagree, whatever...anyone who read it is better off than those who did not. As you say it's not a balanced argument. It is what it is. To those who ask for credentials....Who cares what credentials the writer has...who he's written for. As I see it it's nothing more than another post on a message board. And even if it was written by Peter Gammons....would that make it the last word. In the end these things are all just musings and personal opinion.
5. struggling pitcher, 33 minute rain delay. Lets use our brains once in a? while. 783647 You're talking to the wrong board. Most of these brains are still just developing. Their baseball knowledge goes back to when they were 14 and started to get real interested....two years ago.

Yeah that was great last night! RUN JOE RUN! I'am started to like Rich too,I still miss Len through. My favorite announcer was Joe Angel I loved what he said when marlins would win. I forgot what said, Does anyone know where Angel went after he left the marlins? 783231 There's another one in the win column?
7. If you're in South Florida it will be on ESPN.
8. Intraleague schedules have not been balanced since 1969. Take a closer look at the schedule and you'll notice that all teams have these little quirks in their schedule. 782770 That's right. You'll see, next year we'll play 9 against the Cubs, with 6 at home.

I like to have the announcer for my team root for my team. What a great call. 783052 It's VERY annyoing when you're watching a non-Marlins broadcast and they root for THEIR team (ie Braves on TBS). 783089 The Braves announcers, especially 2-6 years ago, are the worst, most annoying homers of anyone. I recall one opening day game 3-4 years ago, where they spent about 15 minutes on and off during the telecast discussing how many games the Braves were going to win the division by this year. This is different than a home town happy call of a big hit by the home team. All Marlin, and other announcers, give a colorful root for the home team. With the possible exception of old school Scully and Dave Van Boring. Joe Angel and Boog were also good at "rooting" for the home team, at the appropriate time.

RUN,JOE,RUN. .It was a wonderful call. Filled with boyish enthusiasm. An instant classic. End of topic. "Boom...goes the dynamite".....would have been a nice call on the Easley homer.
11. Yeah I got mine 50% off too .. infield box, 15.50 per ticket .. section 101 .. row 1 .. great tix for half off .. . .That's fine, as long as the cameramen aren't in your line of sight. . .As far as Bark at the Park goes....this is the 4th year that they've had this promotion. One year it was a day game and it was "Dog Day Afternoon". It's been a very popular attraction. The pooches are all kept in 2 sections in right center. I brought my dog to Dog Day Afternoon. It was fun, but hot. It's fun to watch on TV, seeing all the dogs with their owners. It's better suited for a Pirate game in August instead of a Mutts game in May that's going to draw 10000 extra Mutt fans who still think their team has a a chance.
12. I actually looked forward to my son's games a lot more than any Marlins game. Those that are not parents don't understand, but I think I'd even trade a World Series for another year of those games. I think I'll have another child....be back in an hour.....make that 20 minutes....game's on at 7.
13. Fishand grits.....that's cute. As much fun as T-Ball was, it only gets better as your child gets older. Coach pitch and the first year or 2 of regular little league are the best..IMHO. I was an assistant coach on many teams, including being the coach who pitched in coach pitch. It was great fun. Even the time when I accidently beaned a little girl on our team. It took half the season to get this girl to bat. She was afraid of being hit by the ball. After 10 games she finally got up the nerve, then in her third at bat I bounced one right off the top of her helmet. It didn't hurt. She laughed.
14. I know that we need stuff to talk about, but some of the posts on this board are ridiculous. Last week we were sending Leiter out to be bullpen coach. Now he's had a good start and that's buried. Yesterday, it's time for McKeon to retire. We win one game and that's history. Today we bench Lowell and put in Willingham. It's unbelievable. The thought of putting in a weak defensive minor leaguer, because he's put up good numbers for a few WEEKS in AAA ball, and probably can't hit a major league curve, to replace a gold glove all-star...well. It just makes no sense. Hopefully McKeon will play him tonight. He'll go 3 for 3 and this talk will end. Even though 1 good night does not mean a slump is over. There's no doubting that Lowell's in a major funk. But this is part of baseball. He must be given the whole season to work out of it. Only if the race is close and he's still below .240 do you consider making him a backup in SEPTEMBER. In the meantime, we have about the best defensive infield in baseball. It was weakened with the addition of Delgado. It goes to average if you take Lowell off third. Now you're weak at both corners of the infield.
15. Leiter either cuts it or he doesn't. Honeymoon based on the past is over. I'm rooting for him tonight. If, once again, he is terrible, then he should be bull-pen coach. Who wants a bum like him COACHING our good pitchers. You're being too kind. Let's make him the ball boy outside of the visitor's bullpen. And while we're changing things around, how about those numbers Moehller's been putting up in the last 4 weeks. Let's make him number 1 and move Beckett down to 2. And let's replace Lowell with Aguilla. Move Delgado down to 6th. Trade Gonzalez for Dotel and a tomahawk, and move Pierre to #2. Let Billy the Marlin lead off.
16. For right now...let's give Willis the Cy Young and the MVP. We'll revisit the topic in September.
17. Batters Box seats are by far the best seats money can buy, however they are sold out for the rest of the season. You can always find some on eBay if you really want to sit there, and it's a great experience. Anytime a celebrity goes to the game they always sit in the Batters Box and also the Marlins owner Jeff Loria always sits there. Honestly the seats are a great value for the money when you consider that equivelant seats at other sporting events such as courtside seats are Heat games cost well in excess of $1000 per seat, per game and the seats in the Batters Box are something like ~$150-175 each. If you're only going to be going to 1 game, I would definitely try and get these seats. . . .Celebrity.....at a Marlins game in late August. Gimme a break.
18. I would suggest section 149 or 150 Row 1-10. Right behind home plate. You can find these seats for sale on Ebay. These are just above the Batter's Box area. If you're in the Batter's Box directly behind home you have a slightly better seat but you don't get a chance to experience the stadium. You're stuck down in the VIP zone. Go with Section 149 or 150. This way you can be part of the crowd. Buy a hotdog and beer and peanuts from the fellows seling them in the stands. Walk up to the concession stands. Have easier access to buying yourself a souveneir at the shops. Everything will be great, as long as the weather cooperates. Have a good time.
19. Leiter will be less than spectacular but just fine for this season. For those younger fans...in 1997...there was almost universal disagreement about having Leiter pitch Game 7 in the World Series. Most fans at the time actually wanted Cook or Alfonseca to take the start. Anybody but Leiter, who most felt was a sure loser. He had had the same control issues then....but as we know now he came through just fine in game 7.
20. What an asinine opening comment. This moron judges his experience and how he feels about players by whether or not they sign an autograph for him. And actually rejoices to see our second baseman hurt. Take that videotape and stick it you know where. And yes, we know that you were 15 feet away. But I and everyone around me near home plate could see that that was a stop that Lee makes, but Delgado does not. We know that about him going in. The response that Encarnacion loafed and allowed a double to turn into a triple was right on. Maybe if you weren't so busy trying to sniff Degado's cologne you would have seen what the rest of us did.
21. A. J. Burnett and Ryan Dempster . . Fan Fest 1999....small crowd. There was a 4 on 4 wiffle ball game going on in the Bermuda triangle. As the game started the 2 of them came by and asked if they could join our team. I knew of A. J., as the #1 on the depth chart. Never heard of Dempster, asked him what position he played. The 2 played the game with me and my son for 20-30 minutes. They were like little kids. Really into the game. It was great. Told my son at the time that this A.J. kid could one day be a superstar.
