McCain Forgets How Many Houses He Owns
McCain not knowing he owns seven houses vs. Rezko, Wright, Flager, Aires, Fericon, America being mean, bitter Americans, Iran being a small and weak country, etc. It goes on and on. These are real issues that concern the American voters because I wholeheartedly support McCain and think personal unsubstantiated six-degree linked attacks on Obama are the most important thing to consider but are smears when thrown back at McCain. Fixed. The point is Obama's issues are much larger than McCain's. Says who? Rush Limbaugh? Rush Limbaugh has more issues than Obama and McCain combined. Rush= blowhard.

Unfortunately it's all about making the other guy look as bad as you can make him look. McCain was down in the polls until he decided to go on the offensive. Obama is slipping because he's been on the defensive. He needs to dig up some of the dirt on McCain (which he does have) and make McCain the one offering explanations. I think with this new house ad the Obama people are beginning to realize this.

Are teams trying to let the Mets win?
Vladimir Nunez is still pitching? lol. Really? I thought he was long, long gone.

Sean West needs a shower
final stats for the night- 6 ip, 8 k's, 1 bb, 5 hits, 1 run. good solid outing. the only thing that seems to be holding him back is his control, by his stats he reminds me of kazmir. man we have so much pitching, what a great problem. We have more hitting than pitching. Maybin, McPherson, Raynor, Coghlan, Raynor, Morrison, Stanton, Dominguez, Skipworth vs. West, Tucker, and the so- so's (RVH, Thompson, Taylor, Marceaux, etc)

McCain Forgets How Many Houses He Owns
God forbid the man is able to afford seven houses. He may not even live in all of them- they may be investments, etc. Is this really the best Dems can come with? We live in a capitalistic society where we all strive to get to the point where we own so much materials that we need someone else to manage it for us. This shows Obama's true Marxist nature- he's angry McCain has made himself into something. Anyway... whatever. McCain not knowing he owns seven houses vs. Rezko, Wright, Flager, Aires, Fericon, America being mean, bitter Americans, Iran being a small and weak country, etc. It goes on and on. These are real issues that concern the American voters. This is a weak comeback attempt from Obama camp to counter McCain's relentless attack. Now, look who knows if the American people will buy it? Only time will tell. The good news here for those rooting for Obama is that he is finally going on the offensive and putting McCain on the defensive.

More Lineup ideas
How bout Raynor Ramirez Cantu McPherson Maybin Ross Baker Uggla Now that's a lineup....
-
8/21 - Marlins @ Giants - 3:45 PM
Uggla looking at the ball, not the 3B coach. How stupid is this guy? Can he do anything right on the bases? Not sure what you saw, but Bo was WAVING Uggla home and didn't put up the stop sign until it was too late. Blame Dan for all you want, but that was on Bo. Well, my eyes are DVH, so you know how that goes...

Renyel Pinto
AAA is not the answer. He needs to go on the DL. He's been overworked for 2 years now. His arm needs a while off. Pitching in AAA is the last thing he needs now. He needs not to pitch. I would love for us to send Pinto to the DL, demote Kensing and call up Delgado and K-Mart. *Dreaming* but would like to see Willingham and Hermida to AAA and Raynor and Maybin up.

Miller DFA, LoDuca Up
Per post game show. I would have sent Kensing down. I really don't get DFAing Miller at all.

8/15 Post Game
Thoughts: 1) When will the Hermida bunting end? 2) Teams are now pitching around Hanley. 3) Hermida can't hit the outside pitch. He needs to either change his stance or move closer to the plate. 4) Does Hanley even care about stealing bases anymore? At least take leads.... 5) We need a 5th bat on the bench. With the way the rotation has stabilized, we have no need for an 8th reliever. If anything, I think 8 relievers may be keeping some of the guys rusty. You can't blame Gregg. It happens, he clearly was not sharp. Seeing that I would have brought in Rhodes to face Ward. Not bashing Fredi though. I know it's against the baseball rules to remove a closer before he's blown a lead. Also, this team still aint hitting. (Just 4 hits)

Post Game 8/3
Yes, of course the hitting SUCKED. No sh*t. All's I'm saying is that Fredi was of no help. Never is. I can bash on him here after 99% of ALL games, I just choose not to after wins.

Post Game 8/3
Olsen allows ZERO hits out of the infield and is pulled after 6............. /not shocked. Stupid fans blaming Fredi for trying to get extra runs, in that situation b/c it didn't pan out. /not shocked. You are a tool. holier than though. This is how you manage (take notes): Think what the other team wants and do the opposite. You know EVERY SINGLE Rockies fan was glad Olsen was out after 6. That means it was clearly the wrong decision. When you are up 2-0 PITCHING will win the game, not offense. Today the team and offense just did not pick up Fredi like they do 80% of the time.

Hanley OUT vs Rockies
No loss really with the way he's been playing.
-
So, what happens with McPherson?
Yea, I'm more disappointed we were not able to move Jake and get a catcher than the Manny thing. After all of this were left with Rhodes. Ugh.
-
Jacobs to the Giants?
According to Josh Friedman of 790 he was told by a Giants source there was a 60% chance of Molina going to the Marlins. He said the source later told him the Marlins are pursuing the Pirates catcher.

7/30 Post Game: Important Win, Who Cares?
Nice pitching from JJ, big 5 run inning + HR from Uggla.

Manny in Florida?
Well, Samson will be on with LeBatard at 6. My guess is that he rebukes these rumors. The past few years he has taken fun speculation away from Marlins fans with these kind of rumors. Hope I'm wrong.

Manny in Florida?
The Red Sox appear serious about trading slugger Manny Ramirez and are talking to the Phillies and two other teams about a deal, according to people familiar with the talks. The Phillies may be the front-runner for Ramirez, who has told people he probably will OK a deal to Philadelphia if the teams can agree on a trade. It isn't yet known what players would be going back to Boston, but left fielder Pat Burrell is having a similar year statistically (.277/.400/.585 with 26 HRs and 61 RBIs in 103 games for Burrell; .304/.400/.538 with 20 HRs and 68 RBIs in 98 games for Ramirez) and could be a logical fit. He has a no-trade clause but has told the Phillies in the past that he'd be willing to waive it for the Red Sox and Yankees. If a deal can be completed, the addition of Ramirez would give Philadelphia one of the most dangerous lineups in baseball. The Phillies offense has been struggling lately and could use a boost from the Cooperstown-bound Ramirez, who has a longstanding relationship with Phillies manager Charlie Manuel, who was Ramirez's hitting coach when the two were in Cleveland. It is believed that to get Ramirez to sign off on the trade, his $20 million club option for 2009 will be dropped, allowing him to become a free agent at season's end. Ramirez is making $20 million this year as well. It is also believed that the Dodgers and the Marlins are the other teams involved in the Ramirez Sweepstakes. The Marlins appear to be a longshot. While no deal involving Ramirez has been consummated, it appears to be gaining steam http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/base...gers/index.html.

Berardino lists MANY trade targets
Doumit/ Grabow would obviously be ideal, but would be the most difficult to pull off. Especially since PIT is the one team that does not need Jake.

Tank to be Called Up
Lefty reliever Taylor Tankersley, who has reeled off nine straight scoreless outings at Triple-A since his July 3 demotion, will be added to the roster before tonight's opener of a three-game series against the Mets. Minor league pitching coordinator Wayne Rosenthal recently worked with the former first-round pick while the Isotopes were in New Orleans, and Tankersley seemed to benefit from some mechanical alterations. However, in his past four innings he had still allowed five walks while striking out three. http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/basebal...0,1081210.story He should not be allowed back up if he can't throw strikes.
