  1. It actually won't be that much of a mess if they draft smart. Which has always been a problem for every single team in the NFL during periods when they struggle. Fixed it for you.
  2. Hell of a thousandth post if I do say so myself.

Does anyone have a Facebook? I just got mine. Add me since I need friends. http://fiu.facebook.com/profile.php?id=18724718 Gotta love the picture with Roary. Chris from FIU.
  4. Pat Robertson: Making the entire world look smarter, one episode of the 700 Club at a time.
  5. I know you can get an upper level voucher at Miami Subs with a combo meal, though I do not know if that applies for the Rangers game. For $20 extra, you can upgrade it to a lower level seat ($25). So you buy a combo, and then you get a 5 dollar ticket?
  6. Does anyone know how to get ticket vouchers for Panthers games, or if there are any type of student discounts? My friends and I really want to go to the game on 11/24 against the Rangers, but with tickets at like 16 bucks, us poor college students can't afford it.
  7. Nice to see both of you are keeping your word.... A true gentleman never backs out of a bet. Plus he's a mod, so he could ban me regardless :shifty
  8. So who won the bet fox? Me, by a landslide. Matsuzaka got the exact amount I said a month ago. Same goes for me, I'll be gone for 3 weeks if he signs for higher then both. Just his yearly contract, not the posting fee + salary. Deal? Sure thing. I'll wait for it to go 100% before I send you off just to be sure. I appreciate the 'balls' for taking me up on this ban bet, hopefully others will take me up on some in the future. Oh well. It was fun while it lasted. I just wish I could be unbanned in the bullpen forum so I could still drop knowledge bombs on these fools.
  9. Good. FIU needs this to happen again.
  10. So what happens to our bet if he doesn't sign.
  11. No. Next.
  12. I still think Anibal Sanchez might be our best young pitcher. Guess I'm the only one..... I have said time and time again that Sanchez is likely our number 1 starter going into the season Not likely. His peripherals were not that impressive last year, and I expect him to be the biggest drop off. He'll still likely post a sub 4 era, but unless his k/9 goes up, he's going to get hurt.
  13. IF they don't come to an agreement, he goes back to japan. He does not become a free agent next year. It's 2008 when he does.
  14. A more realistic trade that Philly would at least be willing to listen to would be...Dorell Wright, Jason Williams and Antone Walker for AI. I'd do it in a heartbeat. That would get it done, and it would probably make us the favorite in the East this year, but would hurt us in the future.
  15. israel had nukes roughly about 5 minutes after we did...that is all that needs to be said... We dropped Little Boy in August of 1945. Israel became an independent nation in 1947. So giving you the benefit of the doubt, you were off by 16 months.
  16. haha yeah man...it was reading day eve (there is one day off between the end of classes and exams) and that day is today so everyone got smashed last night annnnnnnnnnd damn half a handle of vodka...id probably be in the hospital That was on a saturday night. I was sick till thursday and couldn't eat til wednesday.
  17. This country will suffer a great defeat when all of the World War II veterans die. I understand the sentimental point you are making, but I'm not sure what you mean. It won't change anything. I was referring to how we will lose their personal stories, the stories that have changed a country. Most of us had that grandfather that would tell us war stories. My grandfather was a MP in Germany during WWII, and he told me some fascinating stories that can only be told by a veteran. Maybe it's just that I had 2 uncles who served in Vietnam and no family who served in WW2 (mom's side of the family is from Cuba, dad's family were all too young to serve) so I've always thought Vietnam was a more interesting war from a soldier and storyteller's point of view. Tim O'Brien's accounts of Vietnam are vastly more interesting than anything I've ever read on WWII (with the exception of some of the stories about Patton. What a character). But that could just be me.

  19. He's going back to San Fran, but god the Marlins signing him makes so much sense.
  20. The deal wasn't good enough for the Seminoles, they felt as if they weren't getting enough for their money, so during negotiations the London based group gave up their most prized posession to sweeten and seal the deal. a pair of Elton John's high-heeled shoes Fabulous!
  21. I had a night like that the other day. Me and a friend killed a handle of vodka at a party. I don't remember the last half, but we did it.
  22. Gotta love conflicting reports. LaRussa "wants" to have the Cards sit down with Bonds according to ESPN, Yahoo says they did. And another rumor is that he has a one year $17 million deal from an unspecified team but he's holding out for an option year to be added. Isn't this time of year great! Would that team also be looking to build a stadium in downtown Miami, and/or Hialeah, and/or Pompano Beach? Because if so, GIVE HIM THE OPTION YEAR!!11
  23. We can't do it as well as him. Sorry if that hurts, but it's the truth. It's a skewed version of the truth. The only reason he could "control" them is because he killed all those who opposed him, usually violently with chemical weapons.
  24. I don't really know how you can say that, than again, I remember you rattling off about 8 pitching prospects that you thought to have higher ceilings than Phil Hughes. I think you've got a beef with Yankees prospects :lol Clipp's 20 years old, is still growing into his frame, and throws 2 plus pitches A mid 90's fastball, and a + curve, both of which,I've read, he's able to spot impeccably (sp?) He's like 6'4'' and weights 170 or 180, as he fills out it's anyones guess how many ticks he can add to his fastball Add a halfway decent change or slider, and he can be a good Top/Middle of the rotation starter behind Hughes and whoever else. If nothing else, he'll be a reliable arm in the back half of their pen. This post is amazing. You go from saying "He's way better than a 4/5 pitcher" to saying "IF he becomes a better pitcher, he'll be a middle of the rotation guy" to saying "He might just be a bullpen arm". John Kruk can't even put out that kind of analysis.
