  1. Who here has seen him pitch? Anyone? How can you criticize him without seeing him in the majors? Also, I find it EXTREMELY laughable to see anyone criticizing Beinfest, Girardi & co. after seeing what the team has done in the last month. Wait and see how it pans out before jumping all over the move. I happen to think it's a fine move, but since when are we not allowed to criticize?
  2. Not sure how Juan Pierre would solve any problems.
  3. I wish we would have given the call to someone else with more talent.. What a stupid thing to say. I apologize for being so blunt but between AA and AAA the Marlins have maybe 8-10 guys they could have brought up for this task and they chose him for a reason. With all the scouting reports and organizational information at their disposal from coaches, managers, developmental people, doesn't it dawn on you that maybe, just maybe there's a reason Beinfest and Fleming and Hill decided on Fulchino? I guess not. Most likely because he is one of the few guys that won't have his growth retarded by sitting on the bench for long stretches at a time. I mean this in regards to the younger talent, not in reference to the Brad Clontzs and Joe Horgans of the world.
  4. I wish we would have given the call to someone else with more talent.. Any suggestions?
  5. Chris Denorfia Pitchers are a must in any deal. He is definitely a worthy option. I could see the Marlins making a run at him.
  6. Why would you of traded Olsen for him in the first place? They probably would of taken Petit for Dukes. And definantly would now IMO...too bad you cant trade for a suspended player(or so I think) Because he was suspended by the organization, I think he could still be traded for.
  7. Realistically, how much would we have to give up to get him? In all seriousness, probably 1 of JJ/Nolasco/Olsen + Sanchez/Petit/Pinto + Gaby(Hernandez)/Vargas Would be much 'cheaper' to look elsewhere.
  8. That was my one guess Spud. I'd venture to say you are correct Nice of me to do some research.... There are two disabled lists in the majors. The 15-day disabled list forces teams to keep players out for a minimum of 15 days and does not count against the 25-man roster. The 60-day or Emergency disabled list requires a minimum of 60 days on the shelf and doesn't count against either the 25-man or 40-man roster.
  9. No one moved off the 40 man...had room for one more...and Fulchino took it.... Weird, I count 40 before Fulchino. 23 Pitchers: Borowski, Bostick, Bowyer, Delgado, H. Garcia, J. Garcia, Herges, Johnson, Kensing, Martinez, Messenger, Mitre, Moehler, Nolasco, Olsen, Petit, Pinto, Resop, Sanchez, Tankersley, Tyler, Vargas, Willis 2 Catchers: Olivo, Treanor 8 Infielders: Amezaga, Andino, Cabrera, Helms, Jacobs, Ramirez, Stokes, Uggla 7 Outfielders: Abercrombie, Aguila, Borchard, Hermida, Reed, Ross, Willingham
  10. Do you know how they made room for him on the 40-man roster? That's what I would like to know too. Jeff Fulchino is an 8th round pick from the 2001 draft out of UConn. Not a big strikeout guy for his career. 2-4, 3.91era in AAA this year.
  11. remind me when carl crawford has played centerfield in the majors last? He has played there this year, 2005, 2004, 2003
  12. Why would a Crawford trade have to include D-Train ? If the Rays truly have CC on the block(which is the part im not convinced of), no other team could offer a pitcher on Dontrelle's level, and we have the young arms to make the deal happen. I could see a Ricky Nolasco and Aaron Thompson type package getting it done. What are Crawford's stats rite now because Nolasco is really doing good and I dont think many of us is ready to give him up .314/.355/.498 10hr 22sb 36rbi 45r How about we give them Vargas(or some other pitcher i dont think we should let this guy go) ,Reed or Aguila and Joe Bo something like that :lol :lol :lol
  13. I say if we can give them a few guys in the minors go for it. Then we have to pray they that they dont turn out for the Rays :lol . That's terrible.

  15. That's awesome
  16. Can't we atleast get to .500 before having these discussions?
  17. All three are real good matchups.
  18. Kiss Kiss Hug Hug Kiss Hug Big Kiss Hug Hug Little Kiss loved it.
  19. Hanley is hitless in his last 28 at-bats. Call me crazy but the kid is still hurt from his DL stint and it's showing because he's too good to be in a slump like this unless something physically is bothering him. I dont think Hanley ever went on the DL
  20. Id do it in a heartbeat but that aint gonna happen I would do it in a heartbeat too. And who's to say the Rays wouldnt be interested in that?
  21. Props? He had a 6 run lead.
  22. Why do you say that? Ungs aint half bad. he spent 3 years in AA... he SHOULD be called up, but i would'nt be surprised if the Fish never I like Ungs a lot and coming into this year his career minor league stats were: 40-31 with a 3.35 ERA. He doesn't have great stuff but the guy just knows how to pitch. I really hope he gets a chance somewhere....maybe in our bullpen. Ungs is 26 now but he's only walked 114 in 651 IP....not bad at all. He ain't on the 40 man... that's killer for his hopes at this time.
  23. again though, last night's BBTN(unless someone will correct me) was all of 20 minutes long(atleast the 12:00 one)
  24. Who's system did we get him from? What a steal. rule 5 draft pick from Arizona. Hated by 3/4 of this board for no reason opening day. Don't try to throw that back in peoples face, that's really pathetic :lol someone struck a nerve. He is the best rule 5 pick ever and also he is one of the reasons why we are playing so good lately. He reminds me of Jim Thome for some reason. :hat I am pretty sure Johan Santana is the best rule 5 pick ever (who we picked and immediately traded, thanks Dombrowski).. plus guys like Bobby Bonilla, George Bell, Jody Davis, Jay Gibbons, Derrick Turnbow, Bip Roberts were all Rule 5 picks -- let Uggs have more than a 1/3 of a season before we put him in Cooperstown -- granted it's been a hell of a start. I meant best rule 5 player ever on our team, anyways only time will tell. Go Marlins! even that is debatable, Matt Mantei had a good Marlins career, and when he was traded they turned him into Brad Penny.. He already has a Marlins record for most HR by a 2nd basemen That's both sad and amazing at the same time.
