  1. Everything is falling into place. 3 of my least favorite teams are hanging on the edge (cards, bosox, chisox)
  2. QUOTE(Passion @ Aug 26 2006, 12:34 AM) He looked the best he had looked all year in that start too. Just our luck. He needs to pull a Moises and start emptying his bladder on to his hands daily. :lol that's hilarious i was going to post that this morning
  3. From the Orioles Fan: There's been quite a bit of talk about this. I'm a huge Conine supporter, but at this point I'll take what i can get for him. He has a 2 mil option if he reaches 450 Ab's, so the O's will most likely deal him. Hopefully for a young 1st baseman or any prospect would do.
  4. The pic is funny though. The article just seems kind of childish.
  5. Yeah what WildMarlinMan2003 said. These kids are down to earth.
  6. I know he plays for the Cubs, who have one of the worst records in all of baseball, but 14 wins for a team as bad as they have been? That's impressive. He's also 10-1 following a Cubs loss. It's a shame he gets so little attention. His stuff is magnificent.
  7. No you'd expect this from a veteran not a rookie. I know lots of pitchers that have said overconfident things when first making the big leagues. Good to hear he's down to earth.
  8. This is awesome. The 2nd best thing to possibly happen since the cubs suck.
  9. got this off a google search for the incident: With their seventh pick, the Mets selected RHP Jeremy Barfield, the son of former major-leaguer Jesse Barfield, and brother of Padres 2B Josh Barfield. Just realized they were brothers, but the pic posted has him as a left hander. :mischief2
  10. it aint my fault i can't find where my post was it got buried in all the other ones right away i couldn't find it plus i was having trouble with my computer so i wasn't sure if it went through.

QUOTE(Big Mike Pelfrey @ Aug 24 2006, 8:22 AM) rofl they suck so bad. And you are how old? :lol
  12. From MLB.com if he won ROY: It would be a great honor," Johnson said. "It's the biggest thing that can happen to a rookie. It'd be awesome to have that happen for me. [but] that's not my goal. My goal is to win and help this team win. That's what I'm shooting for." I like this guy's approach good to know when a young guy has this kind of mentality this early in his career.

That's Royals Baseball for all of you. Buddy Bell should be the one challenging his players to a fight.
  14. Sounds like a 5 year old wrote that article. It's probably funny to 5 year olds too. :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown
  15. Bernie and Cooperstown dont mix Wow you must not pay a speck of attention to NY teams. 2nd on the Yankees all time list in doubles, 284 home runs as a switch hitter, .297 career AVG, .381 OBP. Stats also show that he was more clutch than Jeter was from '96-'00, the years of Bernie's prime. Not a first ballot, but definitely a hall of famer.
  16. Are the cops waiting for him to screw up too? :lol
  17. i ain't touchin' nobody from here on out Dear Jeremy, I don't see why you would be touching men in the first place, especially your dad. This isn't your Grand Theft Auto video game, this is something called real life. If you shove somebody down a flight of steps, i think that the cops should be informed. You're a big boy, and i think you need something done to you other than time out. Sincerely, Scottolsonsmokestoomuch
  18. I hate the cards. You're a Good man.

  20. Yeah Jr's hand gets smashed we're talking suspension big time.
  21. Cards need pitching. Reds are breathing down their necks if St. Louis isn't careful they could miss the playoffs altogether. Should of kept Hector.
  22. The guy has stolen 32 bases this year Gibbons has always had a reputation as a weightlifter, which can damage if you do too much. Gabe Kapler is also a weight lifter and he gets hurt nearly as much. The most hrs he's hit in a month is 7 last april. What's the big deal? He's never been a power hitter and he's finally got full strength back in his left arm and look, he's going deep with a little more frequency just like last year. Oh yeah Gibbons hurt himself crashing into a wall in anaheim. Anybody can get hurt for an extended amount of time if that happens.
  23. Nick the Greek jumped from Class-A to the majors in one season if I'm not mistaken which is pretty damn impressive He played 30+ games at AA Bowie and he dominated there too but yeah, big jump. I believe the package was Julio, Bigbie, and Penn for Burnett. I think that the O's actually turned THEM down because they didn't want to deal Penn. accusing him of roids is a joke. maybe hes only hit 7 home runs because he broke his arm last year and got hurt this year? Thank you for making that clear to everyone my thoughts exactly. Brian is a good guy and yeah, you can say that about a few juicers, but when you hit 28 you hit your prime, and Brob has those contacts he's hit good ever since.
  24. Didn't Rowand get into an ATV accident in 2002?
