McClung is lucky to be in professional baseball period.

This is a soild move. All these people hate on the guy, but he's had a lot of tough luck....... this move will motivate him to work for a spot in the rotation now that he sees he has a lot of competition for one....... i expect him to pitch well and wind up getting back on track by the end of the year. This will bring him back to earth in other words.

Great contract.......... smart to lock him up now before he starts askin for the money he'll actually deserve in a few years.

The show is great so far for me. They were able to add a lot of new features to modes they already had. The newer career mode is great so far I like the 3rd person camera angles and control on the basepaths. Also what's up with 2k7's gimmick: Real player animations or whatever? Baseball games have been doing that for years.

Hey just got the new version of the show for PS2........ for anyone that has this game I want to know if this certain thing happens to all versions or if there's something wrong w/ the one i have. When players hit the ball, does the game have a non-fluid play to it until the ball is caught or it hits the ground? It almost has like a fidgety kinda play to it for a couple seconds, then it's smooth. If someone with the game could tell me if the same thing happens to theirs or not i'd really appreciate it. Also despite that one problem the game is great!

Yea great year: .241 39 k's attitude problems the real deal right there................ can't believe they even bothered to make a clip for this kid........ he did anything but thrill in his MLB callup he'll definitely be a factor soon though.......... just not last year. Notice how the thread is titled "star in the making". Just because the guy wasn't Hanley Ramirez in his first season doesn't mean he's not due for a breakout year. Benson is one of those guys you can count on to give you an ERA ranging from like 4-4.5 and maybe 12-15 wins if he's healthy........... penguino is right this doesnt hurt that much for the fact they turned around and snatched Trachsel...... they're similar types of pitchers. not only that, but the Orioles probably weren't goin anywhere special either this year, with or without benson.

Villone was pretty efficient early on in the year with the Yanks...... he really fell apart towards the end of the year. With the money they have and the bullpen troubles they have, he definitely should have gotten an MLB contract.

How was 2k6 able to have players from the minors who had not yet made their mlb debuts? I thought there were rules against that.

Hey for some of you guys who like ACC teams, there's a website accselect.com that lets you view a wide variety of ACC sports. It's 5 bucks a month, but i think 4 if you wanna see one game, and they're showing Miami/UCLA all weekend. What is your guys opinion on why college baseball isn't as popular as college basketball/football? I really don't know I wish they would televise more college baseball games. They're pretty exciting to watch. It might just be the fact that teams are more evenly matched in bball and football........... a lot of programs don't put as much effort into their baseball programs as they do into other major sports.

Deshawn should just play this video for Gilbert. Couldn't make em when it counts. Yeah let's forget about all of those game winning shots this year............ I doubt Deshawn Stevenson could make those free throws......... that guy has no offensive game.

The Cubs have 3 piychers. Zambrano, Erye, and Howry. Yikes. You just have an inherent bias so it's not even worth to really get into. I think you should check out Rich Hill's second half, where he had a 2.93 and was one of the best pitchers in baseball. His minor league resume is stellar. Lilly isn't great, but he's more then enough in the NL for a 3. He'd be the third best pitcher on Cincy (assuming no Bailey). Ohman and Wuertz are both very good young RP. Dempster isn't as bad as his second half was. I have no problem saying the wild card for the Cubs is to get 25 Prior starts and get 50-60 bullpen innings out of Wood which will turn them from good to great, but to say they have no pitching is a vast understatement. They have a lot of talent there. Exactly.......... also look what came up at the end of last year: Marmol, Guzman, Marshall, Mateo. The list goes on......... pitching is the least of their worries. Marquis and Lilly aren't too bad of additions either as long as they don't count on them to be anything more than 3-4 or 4-5 starters. Kansas City should not be ahead of Baltimore. Well, KC will probably get more wins in their division than Baltimore will in their division. Minnesota Chicago Cleveland Detroit vs. New York Boston Toronto Tampa Bay Tha'ts not too big of a gap in talent.......... all those AL Central teams except KC have talent to compete this year.

Can someone tell me why the Braves hate Adam LaRoche so much? From his stats he looks like a quality first baseman.
