Gaby Sanchez playing 3B
If you try to say Gaby Sanchez is good defensively at 3B you will never be able to be taken seriously. I don't write to be taken seriously, but needer do you :notworthy

Gaby Sanchez playing 3B
Wow, what does his 2nd home run have anything to do with him being called just a pathetically awful defensive 3B by anyone who has ever seen him play the position? You are hopeless. I think your right ,like always :shifty

Gaby Sanchez playing 3B
Hasn't played there in awhile, but I really like this if he is able to pull this off. I think this is a strong endorsement Cantu stays at 1B all year and we're quietly making backup plans for Bonifacio. Can check the box score for confirmation. http://neworleans.zephyrs.milb.com/milb/st...588&t=g_box I'm disappointed our resident Gaby Sanchez expert did not bring this to our attention the moment it happened. nothing big, his done this all minor league career

Key date for Bonifacio ..
Gaby is doing kinda well in AAA too. Hitting .348 But he also only has two XBH (2b and a HR) and only 2 walks to 9 Ks. .348/.367/.435/.802 So his OBP and SLG are completely BA dependent at the moment. Ofcoarse we're only talking about an 11 game sample size and that should right itself over a longer period of time. Also I love that (atleast it looked like) Boni had a red light on a 3-1 count haha. Nny you forgot to mention he has 9 RBI to lead the team ,hitting 3rd & 4th on the team and a 10 game hitting streak RBI are a meaningless stat, especially in the minor leagues so no, he did not forget to mention them RBI meaningless stat I think you need to check were you are ,this is a baseball forum ,RBI is 1 of the must important stat Major Leaguers make millions with RBIs

Key date for Bonifacio ..
The question is, for me at least, if we continue to win at a nice clip, but he struggles, do we move him down in the lineup or send him down? Would Fredi and the FO want to "mess with what is working" overall? things will stay the same until we start to lose, they will play him less

Trahern Not Immune
Anyone is compared to Marlin1. If you ask Marlin1, they are already clearing space in Cooperstown for Gaby Sanchez. Good maybe the Marlins will trade him away to a team who can use him Not sure what the market is for pitchers whos best pitch is an average sinker, puts too many runners on base, and averages under 6ip/start for his career. you know it : :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy hey I have a copy cat " MiamiMarlins1"

Carrol and Gload
Checked the minors for hot bats in the outfield, saw none except a Lorenzo Scott in Jacksonville, and I don't know a thing about him. He's not really a prospect. And I'm guessing you missed Gaby hitting .382/.400/.500. A rather disgusting 1/8 BB/K though in 34 AB though, but it's early. But, I do agree completely about getting the bench a little more involved. I would like to see Bonifacio and Maybin 'demoted' to 4 day a week players, try not to have them play the same day, let whoever is playing lead off, and let Helms get 3B vs LHP, Amezaga CF vs some RHP, Gload against whoever at 1B and get Cantu at 3B one day a week, and get Carroll a game in RF one day a week. It'll help everybody. Lou I been staying on Sanchez like I always do ,remember all games have been away and their still allot of home cooking umpires and he is very good at selecting pitches most have been call .Marlins have had a great start but they missed the boat by not making the right call ,Sanchez at 1B and Cantu at 3B and Bonifacio in the Bench utility.Sanchez is doing what he has always done put up great # Bonifacio won the job fair and square, even you can't argue that. Gaby will be up eventually. Hopefully mid-June to delay his arbitration a year. No Lou ,Sanchez was not going to start ,when you play 1 day on 1 day off and they say is your job to lose is not the right way to go about it. Not even Maybin was given that treatment he played 2 days on 1 day off more suited to getting on track and Fredi said he wouldn't judge by spring training but they did. 33 at bats to Bonifacio playing everyday. My opinion FO wanted Bonifacio to win and Cantu wanted to play 1B.and Sanchez had options and your right delay arbitration ,but they didn't do Sanchez any favors $$$.

25 WILD MARLIN PROSPECTS
This list is not bad at all, some of you are over reacting. As much as Lou knows about Marlins baseball, he is not the end all be all on the Marlin's prospects. And he knows how much I respect his opinion, but when ranking prospects you can debate whether prospect A should be higher than B, but you can't say it with certainty in most cases; especially once you get past the top tier. Ranking prospects is subjective. I look at our top 30 list and I don't see one guy on there who doesn't have a hole that could lead to him being a bust/not an everyday player. All of them have some major flaws (especially when you get past Morrison) and when you rank them 3-30 it comes down to opinion based on the facts and sources you are using. Wild obviously is using different resources than most, and I have no problem with that seeing as how bland and predictable every single other Marlins list is (or most other prospect lists) that all use the same things to determine rankings when reality is they absolute will have just as many hits and misses if we compare lists in 5 years. It's all subjective when ranking - when you get to lower levels there is no correct answers and it's nice to read a different opinion. you don't see holes on the top 3 ,boy your good

25 WILD MARLIN PROSPECTS
I think WildMarlinMan should have consulted these lists before putting together his own Nny MarlinsLou FutureFish Atleast educate yourself on some of the prospects before putting together a list. And figure out exactly what a prospect is. I don't think you have to consulted anybody to make a list .Everybody else makes 1 that has no idea what their doing and I think WildMarlinMan knows what his doing. I was ones told by a very smart baseball guy every player that is not in Major League is a prospect.

25 WILD MARLIN PROSPECTS
Well I have to go the gym, I have a life. I don't just hang around posting nonsense all day to win imaginary awards and up my all time career post count. I try to post facts and analysis. If you don't like this list Rab, then why spend 2 hours in this thread? I'll take that as a compliment. Have a wonderful evening, Raul. Great job WildMarlinMan2003 I'm with you "great list". The problem is Rab & Raul they have their own agenda and your totally right about everything you wrote. Same person. you are so wrong again :banghead :banghead :banghead I'm wrong that Rab (me) and Raul (me) are the same person? Fantastic. My doc will have a ton of trouble fixing me on this one. Trust me, I know you're not him. The list doesn't have Gaby Sanchez as #1. my bad it was" you" and Erick and Sanchez should be #1 but #4 is OK

Logan Morrison out 2 months
Logan Morrison injured by craig on Apr 13, 2009 2:42 PM EDT in News 0 comments As HadMatter reported in yesterday's open thread, Logan Morrison is out for awhile. Just talked with Jim Fleming, who oversees scouting and player development for the Marlins, and he had some bad news on Logan Morrison. The Marlins' Double-A first baseman will miss 6-8 weeks after suffering a small fracture in his right wrist while in the field on Friday night. Morrison brought his glove hand, the right hand, into the baseline to fetch an errant throw and got it caught on the baserunner as he sped by. "We were hoping it was just a bruise, but the MRI showed it was an emulsion fracture," Fleming said. "It's not a big deal. It's in a splint right now and they're debating whether to cast it or not." While this isn't good news for Logan or anyone in the Marlins organization, I doubt that he would've been the first choice to replace Cantu should his injury merit DL time. I suspect the honor of being called up to play first would go to Gaby Sanchez. But whatever the case it is going rob Morrison of about a month of action. However the boy has the talent and will probably pick up where he left off. The question I have is why he is still playing first? Because we have way more outfield depth than 1B depth. We have more guys with "WOW" potential out there. Basically no one but Logan with that potential at 1B. you really need some baseball 101 your totally lost Hehehehehe. HAHAHAHA! You sir are one of two things, stubborn or dumb. I hope for your sake it's the first. thank you :banghead :banghead :banghead You prove my point

He's still playing first base because he's the long-term answer. And this team feels more confident with some combination of Maybin/Hermida/Ross/Raynor/Cousins/Petersen/Galloway in the outfield with Logan at 1B moving forward, as opposed to Logan in LF, leave out on that group, and let Gaby play 1st. Translation: They'd rather have those OFers in the lineup over Gaby, since Logan is in there either way. do you actually believe what your writing get serious
