Willis' Mechanics
I thought that the coaching staff (by which I mean Wiley) looked over his delivery and found it to be mechanically sound despite being unconventional. 823819 BBTN also broke down his delivery in 2003 and showed that when he gets to the point where he is ready to release the ball his mechanics are sound.

Which Side of the Fence Are You On?
With the way the Nats are playing, and the way we are playing i dont see ourselves winning the division. I think that our best shot its going to be the wild card if this keeps going any longer.

Marlins sign 1st round picks
Draft pick visits: One of the Marlins' top draft picks was on hand Saturday afternoon at Angel Stadium. Right-hander Ryan Tucker, a product of Temple City High School in California, and his parents were on the field before the game. The 34th pick in the draft, Tucker was a sandwich pick between the first and second rounds. Tucker will graduate from high school on June 24. He has already agreed to terms with the Marlins, and expects to sign on June 27 after he completes his physical. Like all the high school picks who sign, Tucker will report to the Gulf Coast League and play at the Roger Dean Stadium complex in Jupiter. On Saturday, he spoke with McKeon and pitchers Jim Mecir, Josh Beckett and Moehler. Tucker is accepting a professional contract instead of attending Cal State Fullerton. "I didn't realize they were even in town until a couple of weeks ago, and then the draft came," Tucker said. "I was drafted by the Marlins and said, 'Wow, I could come to the game.' This is great. I never dreamed this is what it was going to be like, meeting all these people. This is fun." Credit: mlb.com

JP yes or nay
JP is going through what Castillo went through a few years back where he had a slump coming off a great year, Im sure he'll get back on track, but i dont see him coming out of it this year.

Steve Bartman 812402 the other alex, the one with the cubs, if he had fielded the ball cleanly he would have started a DP.

Tejerable 811728 But that one time he pinch ran and chugged around the bases and then got thrown out at home... I mean come on that boy had heart.... even though he stunk. 811733 SCREW U MICHAELS MY BOY HES MY BARBERS BROTHER IN LAW 811786 Tejera sucked buddy and just because he's pepe's brother in law dosent change that. I like Tejera when he first came and he did play hard, but hes not a guy a contender would want. with that said i nominate Hollandsworth

This team is hilarious
I've said this a couple of times already but if the Marlins don't see the value of letting the grass grow a bit in the infield, or at least right around the plate, someone is blind. JP could be on base three times a day at PPS with a little change in the way the field is manicured. 811670 i think it was tommy who said that the grass has to be kept short because if not it would get burned because the heat.

Props to Our Hitters Tonight
Looks like Delgado has already adjusted to the NL, now we just need Pierre to start performing again. 806390 um....he's facing the AL right now....

D-Train's value soaring
I understand Delgado because of his contract. But Lowell and Gonzalez as well? Where are they gonna come up with the money to pay all these guys? The payroll would have to go up by 15 million a year. 805352 Lowell signed a 4 year contract after the 2003 season. Add LoDuca to the list to. He signed a 3 year contract wih us before the season. 805372 yea, but their contracts expire in two years

2003 Marlins were 12 1/2 games out at this point
I'll tell you right now that the NL East is not going to win the Wild Card this year. 805490 I agree, and thats because the teams in the division beat up each other too much to allow to get the wild card. I am not sure about this but i think the nl west in 2003 was in the same boat and they missed out on the wild card.

Scoring Question
because boone doubled which would have driven in one and put iba?ez on third and driven one, and then morse hit a sac fly which would have driven in the other run.
-
Props to Willis, Mota and Jones
I don't understand why Willis was charged with all four runs when in fact, all four runs were scored either by an error or because of an error. 801763 he was charged with just three of them 801839 Can someone get this straight already? :lol 801851 i just did

-
ENC Catch in Foul Territory
i think the rule is that you can only advance one base, unless theres a throwing error or something like that.
-
ESPN Crew
i dont like mark he's boring, and he always agrees with boog. Everything he says sounds the same.
