I want it to be known now...where are you??? Season Done??? We still gonna win??

I for one believe and know that we're winnin this division because when it gets down to it....Beinfest is going to make the deal we need and the hitting is going to come....I believe...how bout you.

We are a couple of moves away from winning the whole division.

anyone who says the season is done is just stupid.

Still can get it done, but not with the players we currently have. Whether it be through the minors or a trade this team needs some sort of offensive spark. I think the bullpen will be fine.

I think you can all look back on 2003. We didn't really get started till the end of June.

Here's the way I look at it:

The division is winnable, but just not with the pieces (JP, Lowell, Enc) we have out there...at least at the moment. We're a move away from being back in it, but (and this is eerily reminiscent of last season) we need that impact move to be made now, not three weeks from now when we dig ourselves an even bigger hole. It's hard to shovel dirt on a season when you're above .500 in the middle of June, but it's hard to say (at least with a straight face) that the division (or wild-card) is ours to lose. We need our guys (Mota, Lowell, JP) to play like they're capable of, and if that's not possible, we need to make at least a few moves to try to right the ship. Willingham, Miadich should be getting the call in the next week if we're going to try to set things right from withing, and if that's not the case, then the deal needs to go down sooner rather than later because this team simply cannot afford to lose any more ground losing winnable games.

i stil believe were gonna win the world series because our offence will come trough and our pitching will carry us there

anyone who says the season is done is just stupid.

With the way the Nats are playing, and the way we are playing i dont see ourselves winning the division. I think that our best shot its going to be the wild card if this keeps going any longer.

Not over.

We have the talent to win. If they don't finally perform, we have the depth should the coaching staff and front office ever make the decision to bench/release/trade them.

FishFanInPA and Maverick thank you for having a voice of reason. I definately think that this team has a legitimate shot of making the playoffs. Will they is a different question. The Marlins are definately not out of it by any means. The rest of June all of July, August and September to make a run...Ive said all along as long as we can stay around .500 midway through July that this team will be poised to make a run in August and Sept.

I understand the over reacter's but that is exactly what their doing....overreacting...every team in this league has had bad stretches...look at the Sillies...they were 6 games under .500.....look at the Skankees......look at the Mets right now....the talent is there...we'll be fine.

Definetly winnable but I just think everyone is impatient. We should be in first place now but our team is not coming through in key situations that would have given us 5-10+ extra wins then we have now. We don't need much but we need some pieces to put the puzzle all together. One pitcher in the bullpen could ignite the whole team. Our offense isn't going to be on every day but it definetly needs to get it's act together a little more then it is now.

Braves entire team is on DL, phillies are going to slump eventually and Nats 3-5 hitters can't carry them every game. We'll have this division wrapped up but it's just a matter of when.

The season obviously isn't over -- but theres some serious issues that need to be addressed SOON -- in a tight division like this we will be kicking ourselves in the ass come September. We're throwing games away that we simply cannot afford to lose anymore.

I sit on the side that can't wait for the All Star Game in HD! Then the run for the playoffs!

I'm on the side of the fence that says this team has the talent to be competitive. Is the talent here right now to win the division, that certainly remains to be seen. Do changes in player or coaching personnel need made, I believe they do. I also believe that Beinfest will make these changes soon. His track record shows he will make some changes and won't stand pat with the current players. The Marlins though are getting to that time of year where the games they coulda/woulda/shoulda of won are going to come back and bite them in the a$$.

They can still get it done, now lets watch them do it.

It ain't over yet.

We have a more talented and balanced team than we did in '03. Our lineup on paper looks incredible. Our top 3 starters are among the best, and the projected "weak link" in the rotation has been pitching extremely well to this point. It's all coming down to one word: clutch. We have the talent to win this division, hell to win the whole thing, but the one thing that's been lacking has been coming through in pressure situations, whether on offense, pitching, or defense. But I don't think that'll last forever. Keep the faith.

we are still in it, but lets remember we were in bad shape and this is one of the thoughest schedules and road trips of the season.

You want to win on the road, you have to bring the bats and score runs big. You don't come into the Angels house with a one run lead in the 9th, thats the recipe of disaster.

I hate to say it again, but JP and Lowell are not cutting it.

It's not over for us...there is still some time left.I believe we can do this. :thumbup

i will stay in it untill we are mathamatically out and still think theres a chance, But to get to the playoffs we need to find a OF to replace Enc beacuse he is bringing the team down with his lazy attitude and his i dont care if i strike out i hit 2 salamis this year attitude. Bullpen we will put it together, i think its time to call up midaich (butcherd the name). other than that 4.5 games is nothing but a stretch of 2 good weeks, if there is anyone here who thinks the Nationals are going to still be in it your crazy, they are the biggest bunch of overachievers.Lets Go Marlins!

Still can get it done, but not with the players we currently have. Whether it be through the minors or a trade this team needs some sort of offensive spark. I think the bullpen will be fine.

If this line-up drove in more runs on a daily basis, there would be less b*tching (especially from me... :p )...changes are needed...This team is a few players/changes from winning it all, it's just frustrating watching the offense of Marlins '05 v.01 struggle almost every night. A few consistent hitters are needed...

Were nowhere near out of it! The only teams in which I would say are out of it already are the Rays, Royals, Reds, and maybe the Rockies and Astros. But besides them, everyone else has a chance if they make some changes and improve.

The Nationals were on a hott streak, and now they've lost 2 games in a row. So although we've lost 2 games in a row as well, we should be feeling better because we know the Nationals can be beat!

OUR KEY TO WINNING THE DIVISION: PLAYING GOOD ON THE ROAD.

Every team in our division has a losing record on the road and a winning record at home. If we could simply improve on the road and start winning more then we can make up some ground and lead our division!!!!

Now, were 4.5 games behind the Nationals who are in the lead. Our challenge is to beat them on the road--(when they play at home.) They have the best home record in the majors, and if we could mess them up at home--beat them, and be better on the road, then we could win the division!

We can seriously get by these Nationals. We've scored more runs than them and we've allowed less runs than them. The only team in the majors who they've scored more runs than are the Astros. We can take them on! The division is ours!

if jp hits the offense goes, if jp doesnt then the offense doesnt. It was that way 2003 and 2004 and it is this year.

Is does not matter how many games back we are at this point, its the way we are player, we could win one game, loose two, then win one, then loose three, as long as the other teams lost all there games we would be in first. So being in first place does not mean you are playing well, what place would we be in the central DIV? great, your in first place, but you will loose the first 3 games of the playoff games. The marlins just need to play better baseball in general.
