djm305
Their place in the HR standings in the NL. Who says we lost all our power this offseason?
Stag5
But still.....anyone discussing the Marlins wants to use the phrase "small ball."
Libelula
But still.....anyone discussing the Marlins wants to use the phrase "small ball." Small ball didn't work today, yesterday, the day before, or the day before that. We needed to take out the big stick!
Ashley
Actually choi is tied for 3rd and lowell tied for 4th. :lol
fanofthefish
I've always said the Fish play small ball -BIG. They do they little things when they have to. But its also nice knowing you've got Cabs, Mike and Big Choi along with Niner, Castro or sometimes even Sea Bass that can pop one out for us. FreshFish
Small ball days are over. We are going to be playing medium ball. We aren't getting the bat out of the hands of Cabs, Lowell and Choi btw, 9+8+7 = 24 HR, tell what other 3,4,5 hitter combination has more Bombs? Ashley
I don't think small ball is a bad thing though. OUr team has ALL the goods... plus we wouldnt have won that game against philly if it weren't for JP :cool
FishFanPR
Is it me or are we hitting more bombs this year?!

rferry
Medium ball. We do it all. We do what we have to win.

bman8316
I think we are pretty much playing the same as last year, the only difference is we arent running as much and Lowell isnt the only one hitting the homeruns. I dont care what everybody calls it, but as long as the Fish get the win I will be happy.

djm305
It's amazing a full season from Cabs and the Addition of Choi changes the dynamic of our lineup drastically. We go from being speedy, to being speedy and having power. I for one feel extremely confident that we will score runs when Cabs, Lowell, or even Choi come up to bat with people on base. =)

Take it even further, is there a better 1-5 combo right now in the league? with those 2 leadoff bats in front, can't ask for much more than this. Pierre Castillo Cabrera Lowell Choi
FishFan24
Even Gonzo got good wood on the ball yesterday and almost hit it out. Aside from JP, Luis and Gonzo, every player in that lineup can go yard at any time! :thumbup Even Dontrelle can do it!! :notworthy
legacyofCangelosi
No one mentioned the niner in any if this. Conine is a threat to drive in a run when theres people on base and plus he can also hit the long ball even if he hasnt been doing it this year. It is our 6-9 that is worrisome....unless Dontrelle is pitching...... :whistle
EricWiener
The Marlins use small ball to make things happen when they have to. It also uses speed to pressure pitchers and defenses into making mistakes.
dirtpeddler
Small ball is a weapon that everyone wishes they had . Now we have to work on our Productive out percentage!
