October 5, 200422 yr Chris "The Worst Play by Play guy" Berman is doing the Anaheim-Boston series on ESPN. :plain
October 5, 200422 yr Tony Gwynn cracks me up 583091 His voice is probably the worst in all of announcing in any sport

October 5, 200422 yr Tony Gwynn shouldn't be announcing games either. He's a good announcer, but I can't stand his voice
October 6, 200422 yr Tony Gwynn shouldn't be announcing games either. He's a good announcer, but I can't stand his voice 583227 What does the voice matter when he actually knows what he is talking about.... He knows so much about the art of hitting and how to breakdown hitters it is insane.

October 6, 200422 yr I'm surprised ESPN allowed Chris "back back back back back back" Berman call the Angels game rather than Gary Thorne. Tony Gwynn is one of the most knowledeable TV analysts ever, he has really great insight and can disect a certain play in ways you would never even imagine, I would take Tony Gwynn over any other baseball analyst except for Tommy Hutton . Tony Gwynn's voice is like a cross between Barry Bonds and Mike Tyson, but is it annoying? No. If you want to talk about annoying moronic analysts, look no further than Tim McCarver, he's like the John Madden of baseball.

October 6, 200422 yr I like Berman. He's actually one of my favorites. For me, he makes the games more interesting.

Plus Gwynn is a West Coast guy and it seems appropriate to put him covering a game in the West. Voice is not importnat for a color man. McCarver is a joker, he brings Buck's talent down. Joe Buck - best play by play man in all of sports.
October 6, 200422 yr Joe Buck - best play by play man in all of sports. 583789 No way, Gary Thorne is the best play by play man in all of sports... back me up B4P . Joe Buck gets the slight edge when it comes to calling baseball games though, because you can just tell he's more knowledgeable about the game.
October 6, 200422 yr Tony Gwynns voice kicks ass - I only watched the game for the broadcast of Berman & Gwynn. Tony is da man.
October 6, 200422 yr Jon Miller is the best play by play guy 583950 Miller and Morgan are the best team Buck is the best p by p guy by himself.
October 6, 200422 yr bermans not that bad gwynn is okay miller-morgan is the best grouping on espn by far
