When you are new to a fanbase the last thing you wanna do is piss them off with pro-enemy team calls and that's what he did tonight. He shows no emotion because he's doing the PBP for the wrong team.

Listen to a playoff game called by Brennaman(sp?) and one done by Buck, huge difference. It's bad enough the opposing team is beating you but you don't need a PBP guy rubbing it in your face as well.

Watch the game too watch the game, not too be worried about what the announcer does and doesn't say. April 7, 200521 yr Waltz has definitely improved from the first ST game. He was doing alright. Of course it's tough to replace Len. Give him more time.

However, when other teams hit a home run off the Marlins or something, his tone of voice and everything about him just changed to great disappointment, unlike Rich Waltz who made it seem like he was actually happy that Chipper blasted a homer to straight away centerfield. I'm sure Rich Waltz will eventually grow on me, but I don't think any of us will like him to the same degree that we all loved Len.
