Rich Waltz

Featured Replies

I was at the game today so I didn't get to hear Rich Waltz's call from the game and ENC's grand salami.

What did he say? Was he enthusiastic and yelling or was he the same boring Rich Waltz that we heard during ST?

At this point I still dont like him, but like Ive said.. I disliked Len too in his beginnings

I thought his call of the grand slam was great.

He was enthusiastic throughout the game. He and Tommy still need to gel together a bit, but he did a good job.

Just heard his call on ESPNEWS, it was awesome, he was screaming and very enthusiastic.

Rich: "The 1-0......... FLY BALL.......... WELL HIT............. LEFT FIELD......... IT ISSSSSSSSSSSSSSS......... GONNNNNEEE!!!!! GRAND SLAM!!!!!!!!"

Tommy: "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW"

Rich: "WHAT A WAY TO START 2005!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Rich made a lot of comments and even directed questions towards Tommy that were ignored with silence or moving to another subject. It was kinda awkward.

I wonder if Boog will be calling it.

I thought he was great! He just asked Tommy too many questions but I guess thats understandable.

I agree. All those questions make it seem like he dosent know a thing about the game.

We've been spoiled with some great announcers. Not fair to compare. He does seem very soft-spoken and kind of lost. The HR call was good though.

Watching what I recorded of the game the sunlight and very white clothed crowd made it look like one of those early Opening Days.

Very erie.

I like Rich... He was good today. I don't know what you people are expecting.. As for his questions, Len did the same thing. It's just to keep the conversation up to avoid dead air (which is inevitable by the way.. dead air was very common with Len too. That's baseball)...

Rich Waltz has showed absolutely no emotion at all tonight.

Nate Bump just got us a CLUTCH double play and Rich Waltz didn't even say anything and Tommy had to jump in and make the call of the play.

...Rich Waltz you officially suck balls.

It's time to kidnap Lenny Kasper.

Send this fruitloop back to Seattle.
