Hey everyone...today is a VERY important day concerning the Marlins stadium...I really don't know how to emphasize it enough...

 

The House sub-committee will be voting on the stadium this morning and in the afternoon, the Senate Sub- Committee will be voting....

 

But the Marlins need your help.

 

As I know that you are ALL aware, the Senate is our hardest opposition and there's a Senator from Miami that's actually iffy about voting in favor of the stadium. The Senate Sub-Committee is made up of SIX (6) senators so EVERY vote is important. Senator Alex de la Portilla is the one that is not exactly content with the stadium.

 

So I need some help from ya'll.....

 

send him some e-mails or leave him messages up in Tallahassee. You guys want the stadium, then help the team out. The team needs all the support they can get right now.

Not that i'm doubting this is occuring today, but I haven't seen anything about the bill going up for these votes today in any paper. Especially in the House, where the bill has been stalled, this would be fairly big news. If there is an article, can you post a link? Thanks!

Do you use different names? Otherwise they're going to realize you keep sending e-mails to them. Also, everyone should be sure to include their address. Otherwise they just think you're not from Florida.

Once the next Senate sub-committee approves, it will go before the entire Senate. Once all the pertinent House sub-committees approve it (I think there is only one that needs to approve it), then it goes before the House. After it is passed in both houses, then it goes before the Governor, who has said he will sign it if it passes in the legislature.
