Simple question. What would you do to improve the way this team is playing right now?

Not talking trades guys.

Well, if it were up to me i'd rest Castillo some more and give Easley some playing time. It's obvious Castillo is still hurting, rest him until he is 100%. It makes no sense to be playing him right now. The speed isn't there and we can't risk him getting seriously injured.

I'd stop sitting Pierre on the bench... it's messing his flow. That's just the kind of player he is. Give the kid some cosistent at bats... he'll snap out of it eventually.

As for Lowell, man, i really don't know. He hasn't been himself this season. Obviously there is something very wrong. Maybe he's putting too much thought into this slump and it has him in some kind of mental melt down.

Please try to keep this clean guys. No name calling if you don't agree with what a person says. It's their opinion, leave it at that and just state yours.

Fire Bill Robinson and acquire one more good middle reliever, keep everything else the same.

Two things... how is JP not getting consisted AB's? He has ~25 more AB's than anyone else on the roster!

Also, Luis hasn't been 100% since his surgery and he'll probably never be 100% again.

I think someone needs to step up as a player/leader on the team and just get the morale up. I think everyone will start hitting well again if someone sets a nice tone... maybe... I don't know. We need a hero. doo doo doo doooooooo....

Josh Willingham.

:lol :lol I knew that was coming once you saw this thread :thumbup .

Who will beef up morale? Redmond took his streaking act out of Miami and I sure as hell don't wanna hear that Lenny has taken up that responsibility...maybe they need a picture of Angelina Jolie like in Major Leagues..For every win, uncover another piece of the picture.... :mischief

Deal Leiter/Bump/and some AAA prospects for a dependable SP and MRP.

Pitching rotation should be:

Beckett

Willis

Burnett

Moeller

(new guy)

Deal Delgado for a speedy switch-hitting left fielder.

Bench Lowell.

Move Cabs to 3rd.

Conine to 1st.

Are you crazy? :whistle

I was happy with the hitting performance last night, we could have won with 4 runs, it was bump that lost it. However, It seems like the marlins are rushing when they are at the plate, they need to slow down, and make the pitcher work, I think they are starting to do that.

DL Mike Lowell with a phantom injury, give Willingham two weeks to show his worth. Let Lowell mash at Jupiter on a "rehab" stint to hopefully get confidence back, and I think that's all we can do from within.

I don't know who, exactly, we'd be making this trade with. I don't think anyone is beating down our door for Leiter and Bump.

I would:

-Hit naked in the batting cage

-Fire Bill Robinson

That is officially the dumbest thing ever posted on this site.

If we want to win games we need our hitters to get more RBI's.

Oh, and our pitchers need to allow less ER's.

Oh, oh, and we need the baserunners to come home more often.

Oh, oh, oh, and we need the other team to score less runs than we do.

I think that would be enough. McKeon needs to say this to the team.

Oh, and our pitchers need to allow less ER's.

Our pitchers allow the lowest ERA in all the majors: 3.39 ERA. :plain

Don't forget the two BIG errors. They didn't help win the game either!

I don't think there is anything I could do as a GM or manager (which I assume is the role the topic starter wanted us to take) to turn this team around. It's up to the players on the field to do it.

Trade Delgado might be a little odd and drastic, but not nearly as dumb as some of the comments I've read about dealing JP, Lowell, and Enc and firing Jack. I figured "anything goes". :banghead
