Posted October 2, 200519 yr I think he's an FA.. do we resign him? How much will he get considering how good of a season he's had? Anyone else interested in him?
October 2, 200519 yr i think he comes back down to earth next year.....sign him at a cheap rate or watch him get a payoff for another team who will say...why'd we sign him for so much.
October 2, 200519 yr He'll end up somewhere where they'll give him 2-3 years for about $5-6 mill per.
October 2, 200519 yr I would love to have Jones back but someone's gonna pony up some big bucks for him and I'll wish him well wherever he goes.
October 2, 200519 yr I see him getting around 4 million a year. The end of the season probably cost him a few bucks and unfortunately I don't think the rest of the league gives him the respect he deserves for this season.
October 2, 200519 yr If he doesn't come back, who's our closer? Do the Marlins give Mota another chance?
October 2, 200519 yr If he doesn't come back, who's our closer? Do the Marlins give Mota another chance?  Yes. Let's just get Mota healthy and see what he can do for us.
October 2, 200519 yr If he doesn't come back, who's our closer? Do the Marlins give Mota another chance? I don't think they'll hand the reins over to Mota, at least not completely. Expect them to sign someone else who could do the job.

Remember, Beinfest loves Urbina (Scott Olsen for Urbina?).

October 2, 200519 yr I hope we re-sign Todd and use him in a set-up role and back up closer. We'll see if he gets a better offer.

No friggin way, Olsen is staying put :thumbdown  No, see, you missed my point...Beinfest offered Scott Olsen to the Tigers for Urbina, but the Tigers opted for Polanco from the Phillies instead. Urbina's a free-agent, no need to trade anyone for him.
October 2, 200519 yr anybody else wanna give Braden Looper another shot? :shifty  matter of fact, whats Bryan Harvey up to these days? Really :mischief2
October 2, 200519 yr anybody else wanna give Braden Looper another shot? :shifty   As a $1 million set-up man, I'd be fine with that.
October 3, 200519 yr Thanks for a great year Todd but your coming back down to earth next year. Nate Bump for 06 Closer, just to piss you off    :whistle
