I had my colonoscopy and found out that there was nothing wrong with me. I had been misdiagnosed. I had spent 4 days in the hospital getting charged rediculous fees because I was misdiagnosed. I'm going to be contacting the hospital about seeing getting those bills dropped or lowereed because of that. But you don't want to hear me ramble on all day about my problems. You want sexy photos. So here you are.

Good luck getting the bills dropped or lowered. Many hospitals rip people off. I went to the ER at Baptist (in Kendall) this past summer with a severe allergic reaction to NSAIDs (aspirin like). They gave me a shot of benadryl (which didn't do anything... the hives remained and I continued to have trouble breathing) and then told me to wait. Nine hours later I was still there... so I bounced. (I got there at 1AM and left at 10AM)

They billed my insurance $700 dollars. :plain :plain :plain

how'd they figure out what you were allergic to, anyway? i wouldn't be surprised if you were misdiagnosed, too.

it sounds like they copped out cuz they couldn't figure out why you were having an allergic reaction.

oh well, good luck getting that tested.

When I came back from Mexico I had horrible stomach pains. The doctor wanted to test a sample of my stool. It turns out I oculdnt give them a big enough sample so they didnt run the tests. Yet they decided to charge me $300.00 for the test. I didnt have insurance so I never paid them. It was Baptist Hospital that ran the tests, or didnt run the tests.

They didn't find out. My primary care doctor knew what my allergy was and gave me some medication that basically didn't work. All regular doctor's offices were closed, so I had to go to the hospital. That entire weekend I spent with huge hives all over my body and difficulty breathing. It wasn't until I went to the specialist that we got everything under control. I'm allergic to NSAIDs and possibly Penicillin. Overall the reaction lasted about 14 days. They're not going to test it out because it is too risky - my first reaction was too severe and testing it out may be worse (even life-threatening). Just going to avoid all NSAIDs and Penicillin.

Baptist is terrible. I am never going back there again. It's probably the worst hospital in the city. Palmetto Medical Center and Kendall Medical Center are better. Jackson is only good for very serious conditions - like if you get shot.

A story about Jackson. A family friend shows up gushing blood from his nose. Afer doing an MRI, a resident there tells him he's got a brain tumor. He goes back to his country that same day because 1) he said, f it I'm going to die anyway, might as well be with my family and 2) he thought he could possibly have the money to cover any procedures there. Goes to his country and gets medical attention right away from a family practitioner. The doctor tells him he's just got a very bad sinus infection. Gives him antibiotics and he's as good as new within days. He comes back to Miami without a tumor. :plain
