Our new daily poll when we lose

Joe.

Herges will do what Herges does. Joe put him in.

Wow, after reading that, I wanna change my vote.

I did go back & forth for a minute or two....they were the only credible choices really. Its a tough decision.

Cabrera/Hammer/Jacobs for all getting out in 8th

No exuses!

Joe.

Cant argue with that.

Joe for starting Jacobs today, and for not replacing Jacobs,

and for not replacing Jacobs again.

and for not dropping Jacobs in the order.

I guess that's enough.

No one in the bullpen is effective. I can't blame Joe for putting Herges in.

I voted for Cabs/Willy/Jacobs.

Yeah I forgot about how he didn't pinch hit for him. The announcers were saying that Joe's reason for leaving Jacobs in against a lefty was to get more at bats. I'm sorry but I'd like to when a game every once in awhile

There are two people you can blame for tonights loss. Herges and Girardi, but both are faulted due to Herges.

Herges gets the obvious blame for, well...being the spectacularly aweful player that he is. Girardi also gets the blame for needing to be beaten over the head by Herges' awefullness multiple times before realizing how truly terrible he is.

Due to the nature of this dispute boiling down to Herges' terrible abilities whichever way you look at it, I award my vote to Matt "The Door Matt" Herges. May you forever be immortalized with the likes of Al Leiter and other illustrious Marlins whose time with our franchise concludes with an endnote consisting of a waiver wire transaction reading, "designated for assignment."

At least there is tomorrow, though I am beginning to feel glutton for punishment.

PS: This team is still pretty fun to watch.

Girardi gets the blame, but I don't think I could ever turn down a free shot at Loria.

If Loria wasn't a cheap bastard and kept the team together, we aren't having any of this headache.

Oh well. Maybe a new stadium (in Florida) will make him spend money.

Jeff Loria!

The Marlins threatened in the seventh when singles by Ramirez and Uggla put runners on the corners with no outs. But David Cortes struck out Cabrera and Willingham before Ray King induced a pop out from Jacobs.

If Loria wasn't a cheap bastard and kept the team together, we aren't having any of this headache.

Don't count on it :(

Yeah, it wasn't like this last year at all!

Oh wait, yes...yes it was.

Hey, have some sympathy for Giradi it's not like he has been provided the best tools to work with here, on top of that players he is relying on like Cabs and Jacobs aren't getting the job done. The heart of most orders are going to drive in at least ONE run with runners at the corners and ZERO outs, even last year's team would have hit into a double play to score a run. Man, the last few years we've seen some REALLY creative ways to not get out of potential rallies.

Joe is going to make mistakes. He is a rookie too.

I say Miggy/Hammer and Jake for not getting a fly ball or something :banghead

I think both Girardi and Herges should get this one..

and the center field fence too, for not being 5 feet closer in the 9th inning..

I'm proud of everyone for not taking their frustrations out on Reggie. I thought there would have been someone out there that would have wanted to punch for the sake of it. At this point its too early to declare a clear cut winner but Joe has a slight lead over Matt (by 2 punches) and Me (by 5 punches). Get out and vote if you haven't yet, you can change the further of America

A question for those picking Girardi: how does your 3 most dangerous hitters, including your only veteran position player, failing to drive in a single run with runners on the corners, a reflection on Girardi?

i was at game last night i was upset how many people we left on base cabs,Jacobs were not at their best last night

herges.. :thumbdown

I cant vote for any because there isnt a choice for Mike Jacobs by himself.

No way Im gonna blame Cabrerra (AKA Chubby) for smoking that ball down the left field line and just missing a double. Cabrerra had a good AB and you cant expect him to pull through ALL the time.

I lay all blame on Mike "Patience is not my virtue" Jacobs.

If Jacobs shows up then the whole Herges debacle probably never happens.

If Loria wasn't a cheap bastard and kept the team together, we aren't having any of this headache.

You're saying our bullpen sucked and we couldn't get clutch hits last year either?

:o

uh...hmmm...to have an older team who doesnt care or a younger team who does and will struggle alot but get better and be really good for years to come...with the great probability of getting a new stadium...i like the direction of our franchise...but personally...herges deserves a punch in the face and a kick in the nuts...his choice whether he wants to wear a cup or not

agreed...anyone who swings at a first pitch with the bases loaded deserves a punch in the face and a shot in the gut...watching him hit makes me want to go to the DMV :thumbdown
