May 2, 200620 yr Uggla has done nothing but impress the organization and the fans. I dont want to hear anything about Robert Andino being groomed as a 2nd baseman, there is no room in our middle infield if you ask me.
May 2, 200620 yr I have to say Uggla Andino is not ready yet for the big leagues Uggla is the kind of guy that even tho doesn't have the "tools", he compensate with hard work and effort. I like the attitude and has surpased all my expectations
May 2, 200620 yr Author I shudder to imagine the topics and posts if he does get this triple somehow. If Dan Uggla becomes the first ever Marlin to hit for the cycle it will be AMAZING
May 2, 200620 yr I think in the long run he might be a super-utility guy, but he's impressed the hell out of me so far
May 2, 200620 yr How do you define future? :lol He certainly has earned the spot for the foreseeable future. Beyond this season, who knows?

May 2, 200620 yr I see Uggla as a temporary placeholder for the prospect/veteran 2B. 1B and CF need bandaids as well.

It won't be a sin if this guy gets a chance to play some as well, he's been swinging the bat pretty well. With that said, Uggla has done a reasonably good job and is a guy that could stick around the majors for a while after this year.
May 2, 200620 yr hes 3 for 3 today :whistle and batting 279 so far But had a very costly error that shows his inexperience. He also is a bit slow for a premiere 2nd baseman. He does hustle and give 100% every game, no doubt about it. But is that good enough ?

May 2, 200620 yr Someone else not in the organization, that is if we get a stadium deal down and cant start building a team... Uggla could be a solid player though
May 2, 200620 yr All depends if Uggla becomes a Jeff Kent, Damion Easley, Brett Barberie or Doug Strange. The first two are worth the title of future second baseman. The third is someone you can live with. The fourth is one who you actively try to replace.
May 2, 200620 yr I could see him move to 1B with his solid bat for the future if we get a premier 2B in the future. I heard a guy named Luis might be free next year.
