May 24, 200620 yr good win, about time we were on the other side of one of these...Olsen did allright, I think he will mature more as the year goes on, and that goes for all the young pitchers on the team including the bullpen.

He looked terrific. 2 innings, no hits, 3 Ks? Even whiffed JP which is no easy task. He went a long way toward holding down a spot in the pen when Carlos & German come back. Though I don't know who else they'd send down... Pinto probably and ?

May 24, 200620 yr This team is learning how to win. I made the 450 mile round trip to see the game and it was incredible, we were in RF and it felt like we were right there for the game winner, which from our angle looked like it would be caught.

May 24, 200620 yr Every win this season should be celebrated. This was a monumental win for a group of young players. It should instill a level of confidence that they truly can compete at this level. The other interesting development is that Girardi went with a group of youngsters to secure the win. For once, Herges and Wellemeyer were not in the mix. Perhaps Girardi is on to something?
May 24, 200620 yr I hope Kensing can continue, he is showing what he can do and proving to a lot of people he has the stuff to pitch in the majors. With K-Mart and German back, who knows we may have a servicable bullpen soon.

May 24, 200620 yr Great win...I missed the end of the game but went back and watched the last inning. Felt so good to see a come from behind win. This should give the kids some confidence. They are learning. Let's bust out those brooms today. In other news the Marlins last walk off home run was two years ago. (I think I read that right)Hopefully will be able to get that monkey off their back later this homestand :mischief Also, Willingham has been struggling a little bit recently. Probably nothing to worry about yet, but I think he is hitting .235 in May.
