September 5, 200619 yr We're the first team EVER to have a winning record after being 20 games under .500? That's just unbelievable. EVER?
September 5, 200619 yr Ever. I'd say that's pretty crazy. This season has been every bit as special to watch as 2003.
September 5, 200619 yr Ever. I'd say that's pretty crazy. This season has been every bit as special to watch as 2003. i'd go as far to say that as of right now.. this season has been more special to watch than 2003.. ya know.. i was just sitting here about the notable firsts the marlins have achieved... first team to win a world series as a wild card.. and twice at that... and first team to rise above .500 after being at least 20 games under.. are there any others that im missing??
September 5, 200619 yr EVER! Amazing. Just Amazing. If people still dont believe in miracles then I have no idea what will.
September 5, 200619 yr first team to be predicted to lose 100+ games then come back and make the playoffs? i'm sure thats a first

September 5, 200619 yr "something special is going on here, and we are all witnesses." -JonDigital :notworthy
September 5, 200619 yr first team to be predicted to lose 100+ games then come back and make the playoffs? i'm sure thats a first How do you quantify something that's purely subjective? Anyway, what was the record the Astros had last year before they went on their run? Weren't they like 15 or so games under?
September 5, 200619 yr This team is fun to watch and amazing to talk about so many stats so many new records. The 06 Marlins are all the buzz on the Coconut telegraph, they have something the 03 team didn't have, could it be that they shake up the League even more than we have in the past??
September 5, 200619 yr EVER!! You would have looked psychotic if you would have told somebody in late May that this team would be a game over .500 in early September.
September 5, 200619 yr Yeah, it's a pretty big deal. It's just insane to even think about it! Oh how fortunate we are...
September 6, 200619 yr Ever. I'd say that's pretty crazy. I cant agree with you there. The Marlins just started getting noticed a few weeks ago. Back in 2003 they got the ball rolling in early june and were getting larger crowds, tv ratings and were in the wild card hunt for the last 3.5 months. Although what this team has done is amazing, we werent thinking wild card 2 weeks ago (realistically).

As early as late June the Marlins were 5.5 out of the WC and were playing better than all the teams in front of them.

September 6, 200619 yr I hope the Marlins put out a Commemorative DVD of this season that only usually happens on a world series year. but ya, that would be fantastic.
September 6, 200619 yr tv ratings are already way up (I believe) I'm sure they are. we've always had great tv ratings. we just get enough AIS's (asses in seats-per everybody loves raymond)
