i might go one of met games

me and my gf are driving to 5 hours to houston monday right after we get out of our classes to see the marlins/astros game, then turning around and driving back so we can both be in class in the morning. it probably won't be too good of an idea for me to do a lot of heckling while I'm there!

Me and two of my roommates drove 4 hours to Denver two seasons ago for the Marlins/Rockies game. That was the game that got SNOWED out....the coldest start in Coors Field history. Ended up driving four hours there, freezing our you-know-whats off for a few innings of baseball, the game gets delayed, and delayed again, and then finally postponed, I get stuck driving the 4 hours back home, and they sleep the whole way. We had to get back for class as well. I don't know how we didn't die....good luck man....I probably wouldn't ever try to do that drive that late at night again.

I'll never forget the time I was in Atlanta visiting family and it just so happens that the Marlins were coming to town. I wore every piece of Marlins clothes I had and made huge signs. I heckled the hell out of all the braves fans there, even my own family members who were braves fans got aggravated. Thank god we won that game by a blow out and I didn't end up looking like a fool. I'll never forget, I sat right next to Cliff Floyd in left field. One inning he struck out and he came walking out onto the field with his head down and I just told him to keep his head up and he'll get 'em next time. Next at bat, he blasts a grand slam to put the game away and when he came out to the field, he pointed straight at me. The looks on all the Braves fans were priceless. I wish I could drive to Atlanta for the weekend sereis, but unfortuantely I got finals right around the corner and I can't afford to take time off.

I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not, but in any case I think that while the guy is way more enthusiastic about heckling than I, it's a strong first post. Different subject matter, coherently presented(agree or disagree), and any first post that ends with a call to Marlins fans to go out and shout out the Mutts fans works for me. One of my top 10 Marlins at-game experiences was a game 10 years ago when about 1000 of the 12000 fans there heckled the Phillies and their pitcher with a game long "Schilling, Schilling" chant, until he got rocked in the 4th. I was in sec.150 and most in that area were into it.

I heckle the opposing bullpen. Nothing nasty, but just try to get in their heads sometimes. If they were in Philly or NY, it would be a thousand times worse. Got kicked out by the Mets once, their bullpen catcher is a punk.

One of my memories of the 2003 world series is watching one of the home games on tv and hearing 70,000 strong chanting"yankees suck"/ Its called home field advantage for a reason. Do whatever we got to do. .

In 1997 I heckled Michael Tucker so hard-core. One game he trapped a ball and argued his way into an out call by the ump. Next inning Sheff launched one into the club seats and I yelled "couldn't trap that one, could ya Tucker?"

Those that know me know I am one of the well known hecklers. In 2003 I brought horns with me to the Phillies games and before any Phillies pitcher would release a pitch I would surely blow that horn, run after run I'd scream and blow the horn. The last type of heckling I've been doing ever since horns were banned was screaming an opposing pitchers last name while they are doing their wind up and scream until they throw it, I don't know if they hear me but I know one thing is for certain the Marlins always manage to start a huge rally. I can't do it anymore cause now I live in North Carolina but if you can do it for me I'd apprecaite it :-). I use to always sit in the bullpen area, or founders club.

I don't bother players, if I'm going to shout, I'd rather shout encouragement to my boys.

Last year when Toronto came to town I was sitting in the Fish Tank and some guys were LAYING into Vernon Wells yelling "Where the hell do you play? Canada!?" in which he responded "At least people go to our games." lol. He was pretty playful even in the middle of at bats.
