It was a nice win. It seems like we can never hit hudson, so I was very pleased we won.

 

This puts us in a decent position to win the series.

Coming into this game I didn't think we had much of a chance with the pitching matchup. Good win.

It would be huge if we can take 2 out of the next 3. It closes the gap between us and the braves, and puts us at 30-31. The best part is after this series 15 of the next 21 games are at home.

Hope for a split tomorrow, a win on Wednesday and all is right in the world.

I wish it wasn't so, but if you check the stats, that hasn't exactly been a good thing for the Marlins this year. We are one of the few teams with a losing home record. :banghead

Yes, he is a turncoat. I refuse to listen to his radio program anylonger, and I wish others did as well. He could have been the Marlins lead announcer, but turned us down. The Marlins gave him a chance and he has turned on them, and going to all teams the HATED Braves. That is disgusting.

Well we won, I like that Benitez hasn't given up a run or has showed any signs yet of being unreliable, but then again it's only been 3 innings. Offense seems to be getting it (3BB's off of Hudson), but for gods sakes can we please put hanly back in the leadoff spot :confused

Boog was offered the TV job Rich Waltz now holds. He left for ESPN and the radio gig on 790. I believe Boog is holding out in Atlanta for the Mets job to ever open. He wants to work the Mets games badly.

 

FSN South/SportSouth hired him to work the Braves games and I believe that the biggest reason Boog went is he likely knew the head of FSN South which used to run FSN Florida.

 

I don't have an issue with Boog working the Braves, but his differences with the Marlins Front Office should not influence the fact he does good work.

Olivo couldn't hit a breaking ball if his life depended on it.

my question for Olivo is when is he going to understand not to swing at the first pitch. He always swins at the first expecting to hit a HR on a fastball but every pitcher and catcher know that and they throw him a breaking ball. The moron still goes after it.
