forget the lineup, if Castro could hit and they had confidence in him this year they wouldve given him more playing time and you know it.

Truer words were never spoken. Jack is above all, an equal opportunity guy, he always plays the hot hand. If Castro had shown him more he would have played him more, it's that simple. I like the guy, but he is what he is, a fall back.

Every single time, he produced.

And wasn't it all of you guys, Das and Ramp ect. that were ecstatic to see that Ramon was going to get a chance to prove himself as a great player before we signed Pudge? Wasn't it you guys that were getting giddy when Torborg was saying how good Castro was going to be? Why change your minds about him now, especially after his best season. There's no doubt that he is ready, I mean, he's been in the majors for three years, and he's played behind two of the three best catchers of the 1990's (one of them the best of all time).

WC you need to learn how to limit yourself so you won't screw up so many damn things!

You all need to get your heads out of your asses.

To believe I, or anybody for that matter, is a jinx is just plain idiotic. Period.

Opening Day, 2004: And now, batting 5th for your world champion Florida Marlins, the catcher, number seventeen...

!!!!!!!!!!

i cant believe he actually said that.

suspend him until the series is over

BTW: Do you know when that picture of Ramon was taken?

Wild Card what is your obsession with Ramon Castro? He had some good hits for us this year, but you cannot base what he will do as a starter on 50 ABs. I do think Castro could be a starter in the league but he will never be anything more than a mediocre catcher, with good power, but low average.

shut the f*** up, a couple of pinch hit homeruns dont mean s***.

i hope he'll be good but lets face it, if they had confidence in him he would get more playing time this past season.

Good power and a low average?

I suggest you look-up his starting numbers in AAA, then come talk to me.

Yea, they only won 3 or 4 games for us...

AAA #'s dont mean s*** once your in the bigs.

and how come he got so few AB's?

Mordecai won 2 games for us with homeruns, so i guess he should be our starting 2nd basemen next year or SS

Is Mike Mordecai 27? Does he have anywhere near the hitting ability of Castro?

was Mordecai considered this big prospect only to be on the big league roster for 2 years getting almost 0 playing time?

and no im not suggesting Mordi become a starter, just making a point about Castro

I did?

I simply wanted to see what all the hype was about?

Nothing from Torborg's mouth ever made me 'giddy'....recall I wanted Torborg fired the day he was brought to this team....why the hell would i be 'giddy' over anything from his mouth?

If Castro were ready, he would get semi-regular playing time....like at least a start once every month.

was Mordecai considered this big prospect only to be on the big league roster for 2 years getting almost 0 playing time?

So I guess it's Castro's fault that the catchers ahead of him were Charles Johnson and Ivan Rodriguez.

he was the 3rd catcher for God's sake. they never gave him any starts or any playing time when CJ or Pudge got an off day even when Redmond struggled this year. and this was suppose to be his year as the starter and they go out and get pudge. yeah, they really believe in him.

he was the 3rd catcher for God's sake.

And he'd be the starting catcher for about 15 other teams. Probably more.

And he's gotta be pretty good, seeing that the Padres were willing to trade their All-Star outfielder for him.

Xaiver Nady (I think?)?
