2 Wins, 2 Walkoff HRs

Whoever the SportsCenter co-anchor was tonight.

Ah, Ok. Didn't know you guys were speaking of SportsCenter. Ridiculous.

They did a voice over edit for the next sportscenter

Original:

"His First Career Homer", "Welcome to thr Big Leagues Kid"

Revised:

"First Career Walk off", "His Forty-Ninth Career Homer"

It was pretty funny though, I was like wow they actually choose a Marlins walk-off for the top ten. Then I was like wtf is she talking about?

Great game over-all, both teams played well (except for the one play with 2 errors by the Pirates).

I really loved Carroll's assist though, my God what an arm.

Great play there.

so for the friday night game against the pirates heres who i think were the top performers

1. Mike Jacobs - after all he did hit the walk-off homer, but in addition he was striking the ball crisply all night to have 3 hits

2. Josh Willingham - hit a 2 run shot and had a fantastic assist in the 6th

3. Scott Olsen - yes he did give up 4 runs but he did what no other starter has done yet this season in going 6 innings. encouraging considering his niggling injuries during spring. looked quite good near the end of his outing.

LMAO who's the dumb bitch who said 'MIKE JACOBS WITH HIS FIRST MAJOR LEAGUE SHOT'?

and theen followed it up with "weclome to the bigs"

at least we know she's not a Mets fan!

She sounds like a clueless Mets fan to me...

STILL incorrect...heis first walk off HR was in his first AB with the Mets.

The best part is everyone throwing in the towel in the 2nd inning when Olsen was struggling. 95 percent of you Fish fans need to reevaluate your patience and fandom. I said it.

He kept it together and kept the team in it and we won. Perfection is an unatainable goal.

this game was fun to watch

Great D, especially the outfielders with some big assists.

Olsen started off slow but he got better as the game progressed. Him giving us 6 innings was big to our bullpen.

Hanley with more hits, but whats new? lol

Jake wit the walk off to end the game! YES!

I'd definitely say that's an outing Olsen can build on. His RBI single was big too.

I'm glad we were able to score some runs, Matt Morris at this stage of his career is someone our lineup should be able to handle.

Marlins defense! :o

Once De Aza and Ross are fully healthy again, with Hermida back in the lineup, this offense 'can' definitely be potent. And I trust Olsen to get us 13-14 wins with a sub-4 ERA when it's all said and done. If Nolasco can get another 13-14 (very possible) and Volstad's May call-up proves worthy, we can do some things. Obviously it's all on our pitching right now.

I just hope we don't make it a habit of waiting until the home half of the last inning to win.

Just important to remember that while our SP is bound to get better, either with Miller's development, Mitre & Sanchez getting healthy, and potential callups, I worry that in the meantime our bullpen may get overworked so that they may not be in working order when we have a decent rotation.
