I have a feeling Miller is going to find his stride very shortly..

Yes.. In AA. And then hopefully he can come back up in July after he's learned to pitch.

As much as I hope he's wrong, I strongly agree with GarbageMan this time.

Less than 100 innings in the minors...Miller needs some more developing in the minors.

I trust Nolasco and Badenhop more for this year.

:weed Happy late you know what and what a way to celebrate. Marlins are on a tear and I love proving my roommates wrong. I just made a bet with my roommate: He thinks Tim Wakefield will have a better year than Scott Olsen. And he is also a die-hard Mets fan that can't come to terms that his team is out of first place. He also thinks Hanley Ramirez is not MVP material, especially because he loves Jose Reyes. Our pitching is doing mediocre overall but the bullpen is saving us, and with solid starts from Mark Hendrickson and Scott Olsen we will be a force to be reckoned with. Our hitting will be among the best in the league also. Now, I shall celebrate :jackson :gofishb

Who thought that Mike Rabelo would be the most productive player we got from Detroit thus far?

Not me...but I'll take it! He's been a nice addition to the team and fairly under the radar as for all of baseball.

Didn't Matt Morris used to be good? What happened?

He signed with the Pirates?

He didn't sign with the Pirates; Littlebrain, er, Littlefield TRADED for him, even after looking awful in SF. That was the last reason in a string of reasons why he was fired -- because he financially handicapped the team with his gargantuan salary.

So what is the deal with Rabs? Is he going to be our starter or is it still a position battle with Treanor?

Treanor is one of the best back-up catchers in the league but that's exactly what he is - a back-up.

Rabelo still has the chance to show that he is starter material but IMO he will become a back-up catcher in the big leagues. The argument for him starting the majority of the games right now is in seeing what he's got. We already know what Treanor will give us, so the team is experimenting with Rabelo. Kind of reminds me of the Castro/Redmond split in 04, we essentialy have 2 back-up catchers splitting time at the position for a season.

I'm so tempted to say something. :whistle

LOL I'm holding back too. Instead I'll just make a prediction.

It won't be long before we see Hendrickson's face all over the TV and billboards. Advertising Lasik surgery.

Anyone else notice that Cantu's Batting Average has climbed over .300 for the season now. He is hitting .314 right now. He has been a nice surprise so far...well except for his subpar defense... but he is no worse than Cabrera was.

I did put a question mark. Ultimately my point was that playing in Pittsburgh makes you play worse.

His throwing is worse than Cabrera's, you can decide for yourself if his range makes up for it.

That said, Cantu's also a lot cheaper.
