In the 1st inning, 3 batters found the hole between 1st and 2nd. Diaz got a hit because the infield was in.

 

I mean, Badenhop isn't doing GREAT, but his line (as well as Chuck James) could be looking a little better right about now. Both pitchers have had some horrendus luck.

 

I think Badenhop has some good stuff, and he's thrown strikes tonight.

Argh. Isn't there another option besides Ross in CF? When will De Aza be back?

I saw the replays on Gameday, and Hops pitchers have movement on them but when the batter swings, the ball is right OVER the plate

this braves team is one of the most bipolar teams i've seen in a long time. and, you can argue that the losing pitcher of the game is headed to the minors. chuck james in on a short leash, especially with glavine coming back and as seen tonight, bandenhop is kinda...bad.

I don't blame Porter on that Hermida play at the plate. I blame Hermida. I was surprised to see that it was even a close play at the plate with him running. That ball was rattling around in the corner long enough, and Hermida is fast enough, if paying attention and running full speed. Seems like he should have been at the plate before even a perfect throw came in. Key run. And you certainly can't afford to give away a run at that point.
