June 13, 200818 yr We have Dan Uggla and Wes Helms on the bench....and Fredi sends in Robert Andino. Yeah, it may have not made a big difference, but its still a really stupid move no matter how you look at it. Andino should only play if he's the last person available. I know Fredi baffles me a whole lot as well. He pulls his moves mostly out of his rear
June 13, 200818 yr oh wow i got played, i thought it was like a week since he commited an error. on the bright spot Uggla hasn't commited an error in 36 games and counting.
June 13, 200818 yr It would have been nice to sweep but I'm content with the series win. And Scott Olsen looked real good as well. By the way, Philly fans were so obnoxious and rude at the game. Ugh. The "Pat has Crabs" chant was awesome, though. :lol

Every time I see Andino being brought up I figure it's to showcase him for a trade. Too bad he can't figure out ML pitching enough to help himself out.
June 13, 200818 yr Lets just look at the positive, guys. Scott Olsen looked VERY GOOD tonight. His fastball was clocked at 93 mph ONCE, and he pitched well against a tough Phillies' lineup. Hopefully, Tucker follows the performances of Nolasco, Miller, and Olsen tomorrow. Would be nice to get a little competition going. We took 2 of 3...9 game road trip now. Just gotta continue playing hard, that's all. Moyer was on his game tonight (as he usually is against young inexperienced teams, like the Marlins). Inexperienced?.Our lineup is not inexperienced. Yes they are and they show it at times. Like this game. Or the series in Cincy where they were swinging away for those short porches instead of doing what they should have been doing, swinging for contact and letting things take care of themself. A little over 2 years in the majors does not make them experienced hitters.
June 13, 200818 yr those 2 runs shouldn't have come in but oh well....... at least we won the series and off to tampa! you know how people use to say Moises Alouuuuuuuuuuu when he would bat i was thinking why not jorge Cantuuuuuuuuuuuuu lol just a little thought like the co-dy co-dy thing. Come on Cardinals beat dem phillies!!!!!!! The wife and I started something in ST that we have carried over to the regular season. When Cantu does something good with his bat we shout out "Yes he Cantu!!!"

The "Pat has Crabs" chant was awesome, though. :lol And we had the opposite experience. My wife even commented on the way home that it was nice to have decent Philly fans at the game. The only thing the entire night I thought was obnoxious was during the National Anthem a couple guys in our section hollered out go Phillies. I find that to be disrepectful.
June 13, 200818 yr I might finally start drinking olsen's koolaid after these two starts His BB/K is finally starting to get good, he's finally starting to K guys/not walk them. 12 K's, 2 walks in 13 IP if he keeps this up it's so huge for us

Yea, it was a crappy loss tonight, but I tend to look at the bright side. Oh well, moving on. Let's get ready for Tampa. I agree, Olsen pitched an amazing game. Poop happens. Lets go to Tampa!!

Nothing changes with Andino, just keeps striking out. Hey, it can't be just me, we have a lot of people on this board who played ball at high levels- Andino drops that back foot and slides it back and to the side when he swings. It's almost like he is partially stepping out. 15K's in 23 AB this year. Just watch him, I hope do not get too many more chances-the good hitters keep that back foot planted.
June 13, 200818 yr another note, whens the last time cantu made an error? Monday hahaha... that was funny
June 13, 200818 yr olsen, miller, nolasco and tucker have all done well of late (i know tuckers only had the 1 start) i now feel confident of victory when any of these guys are pitching for us hendrickson is however a different story alltogether......

If Hendrickson does well in his next start will you gain confidence in him too? :mis2 not really bcos he has stunk of late and everyone knows he has already peaked this year and will most likely continue his struggles whereas olsen i had full confidence in earlier in the year, lost a bit during his "dead-arm" period but his past 3 starts have been of good quality and overall his numbers are excellent then with miller, since the start of may he has demonstrated flashes of brilliance and i love the way he dominated that tough phillies lineup nolasco 3 runs or fewer in 6 of last 7 starts, enough said tucker, good debut, outstanding minor league stats, will have better idea after tonight of how he will cope in the long run so thats why i feel confident in 4/5ths of out rotation at the present moment
