June 18, 200818 yr I must say... Tommy, Rich, and Craig have done a wonderful job following the Marlins. I look forward to every game 10x more because of how good of a job they do with the Marlins. Great announcing, always upbeat, great voices, intelligent, funny. It is no wonder why there is more Marlins fans sitting at home watching the Baseball game on television rather than at the baseball game itself. June 18, 200818 yr I love them, but they aren't the best, and especially not the best without a doubt. That said, I do quite enjoy Tommy and Rich. Compared to some announcers (Rays, anyone?), they come out like Jack Buck.

June 18, 200818 yr Author I dont rate them on their past I rate them on what I see now and what I see is happy upbeat and intelligent all the time every game. I will compare them to the entire NL East the only team that has decent broadcasters are the Marlins everyone else is just boring and the Braves bahahaha lol

Yea Rachel I do recall Tommy bringing that up and the 3rd time he did it about the attendance I actually drove down to Miami and saw the first 3 games of the Marlins and Reds Series... no offence but Dolphins stadium is a crap shot, this is why I like watching the games on television. I didnt know Craig was such an attention whore (language) but I do remember seeing him interview some people that wanted nothing to do with it.

June 19, 200818 yr If you watch games on MLB.TV, you often get to see how bad other teams announcers are. I didn't appreciate Tommy and Rich as much until I started watching games online. Living in New England I also see the NESN guys doing the Red Sox games all the time and I can't stand them. I like guys that are knowledgeable and fair. They don't have to be impartial but at least objective. I think Tommy and Rich are.

They don't have to be impartial but at least objective. I think Tommy and Rich are. I have MLB.TV for work (yes I am a corporate time stealer :thumbup ) and MLB Extra Innings at home on the DirecTV. I would rank our guys right up there with any of the teams on TV. I also like the Arizona guys. Mark Grace is a hoot with great stories & just a funny personality. Seattle also has 1st rate announcers, starting with the legendary Dave Niehaus. His voice is distinctive and worthy of his newly won place in Cooperstown.
June 19, 200818 yr Oh I forgot to give my worst -- easily the guys for the Nationals. Just horrible, and always mispronouncing names and making mistakes galore. If I want to watch a Nationals game I turn the sound down, and would rather listen to silence than their drivil.
