July 6, 200818 yr same sh*t different day....were only 1 game over .500 and yet just 3.5 games out. However the mets are now only 1 game behind us. our luck will run out soon and ever since june, we are several games under .500

Mark hendrickson, realizing he has to pitch better, will pitch the game of his life. And the offense will go on a TEAR scoring 25 runs. After that you know who pitches right? RICKY NOLASCO! He will go the distance striking out 15 batters. Then Miller steps in and pitches the best game of his life and shows mungo that he is not a mediocre pitcher, but instead a BEAST. And then the moment we've all been waiting for since last year. JJ will pitch his first game, and it wont be a beauty but he will get the job done. And by the all star break we will have our selves a four game winning streak and be 1 game behind the phillies.
July 6, 200818 yr ever since the gregg blew the endy chavez game this team has not played well . truth is we are playing now like our stats say we should be playing . Our defense stinks , our starting pitching has not consistanly given us at least 5 innings a start , as a result our bullpen is wasted after 87 games . I personally am hoping we get to the break at 500 , we need the a few days off and a few guys back in the worst way .

July 6, 200818 yr I am not as worried as I was before.. these losses suck... but we have a homestand against the Phils right after the All-Star break. Our pen will be rested and hopefully have gotten things back on track... If we are able to keep ourselves at a few game distance and not completely let the Phillies run away with the division then that series will shape our second half... what does scare me... if the pen does get its act back together, then it means they are fatiguing after the 1st half and if that happens again at the end of the year... then uh oh, but I dont think that far ahead, im looking at tomorrows game.
July 6, 200818 yr as much as this Colorado series is sucking big time...the Marlins are the kind of team that will probably take 2 of 3 from the Padres then go on and sweep the Dodgers 4 straight games heading into the break...then we all forget about the Colorado set and say "Woohoo we swept the Dodgers! Playoffs here we come!" Thats just the nature of baseball...learn to love it cause its the best thing going today
July 6, 200818 yr If Johnson, Sanchez, and Mitre struggle upon their return, this team is in deep caca. They are basically our only hope right now cuz we ain't gonna get it done with the current rotation.
July 6, 200818 yr before the season started no one expected a good season, it started off great. Hopefully the team can build on this. they are a young team and have some more players coming up. If they stay around 500 its a good season realistically and you never know what next year holds.
