Simple majority needed for the stadium agreements (we need 7 of the 13)

Super majority needed for "waving of the competitive bidding process" for the infrastructure construction ( 9 of the 13)

 

Major Alvarez is sure we have the 9 votes because now Commissioner Souto is on our side, so he is trying to lump everything together in one vote to get it done swiftly. In my opinion, that may be dangerous, since it is much more important and easier to first pass the stadium agreements (that only need 7 votes), and then worry about the infrastructure vote.

I'm following this all day at work.

I too believe the Mayor is playing a dangerous game with the all-in-one vote. Let them vote separately and get the 7 needed. We have waited for years and years for this day, what is another couple of hours of waiting just to make sure it happens.

15 years of worrying, doubting, and waiting all boil down to one vote today! Let's hope we don't have a Sarnoff 2.0 over at the County... Make the dream a reality!
