5/7 Post Game

One game over .500

Could have been worse, but not a pretty game.

Let's get a rally going in Denver.

I think it's clear last year's team was much better and the early season streak was just a fluke.

all i can say is that maybin is really not pulling his weight and i think he needs to be sent to AAA and we should start alfredo who has excellent defense and we know he can give us good at bats every game.

anibal did not look good and our rotation is one of our weakest points right now including a terrible offense.

i think we need some changes.

mann ... 11-1 to 15-14 ....... 4-13 in our last 17 games. I'm frustrated

Very frustrating.

Our starting pitching is not where we thought it would be and our offensive seems off, only one "hot" player per game.

On the flipside, our defense seems improved and our bullpen is at least average.

Maybin has nothing to learn in AAA. He needs to see MLB pitching. He'll be fine. Growing pains, my friend. Growing pains.

Also, our bullpen ERA is now lower than our Starters' ERA, which is really puzzling considering the Starting Pitching was supposed to be the Marlins' strongpoint this year with the Bullpen being a major question mark. They need to figure something out.

Yeah Ani didn't pitch well but the major problem with this team is the offense

we've already been shutout twice (i think) and we're not going to win many games scoring just 2 runs

We suck...sorry had to say it.

Things really need to turn around for us and it needs to start with the starting pitching.

Our offense in non-existent without Hanley and Cantu.

We're 4-13 in our last 17 like you guys said...We would be worse if Joel Hanrahan wasn't the worst closer in baseball.

Yeah, sorry. We suck.

Looking on the bright side, Colorado is a good place to break out offensively.

And the power pitchers we have going on Saturday and Sunday are in our favor. Better to have power over finesse in that ballpark.

I agree with this post.

I do think that Bonifaciout needs to be relegated to the bench, though.

Maybin has the potential to be a star outfielder.

Bonifacio's ceiling is probably Dave Krynzel (as an infielder)

Plus plus speed, plus defense...that's it. Terrible bat, terrible plate discipline.

Actually, the worst news of all is not the loss.

It's the fact that Anibal Sanchez might be out for a long time.

I pray we never see Graham Taylor again. Or Daniel Barone, for that matter, in case someone decides to bring up his name.

4 hits today.

Four.

And two of them were from Hanley. And another was from Boni in the first inning.

And the other from Ross Gload. Don't know why we're pointing out the hits, but whatever.

Those names hurt my heart.

How close is RVH?

we going hr ballpark this not going to be pretty road trip guys and ladys

I actually think this is exactly what we want. Other than Hanley and Cantu the whole offense is in a slump and with Coors Field being so prone to HR's, it could be the boost the likes of Uggla, Hermida (power wise) and Cody need. A few homers and this team could be rolling once again.

Cause it's fun?

I'd rather think about hits (or lack thereof) than who may or may not be taking Ani's spot, if he is out for an extended time.

On the other hand, maybe we are following 2003's storyline: starting pitching injuries, callup provides spark, get into playoffs, etc. etc.

remember our pitching will need to be very good or their going rock by HR

Amen.
