Posted June 5, 200915 yr How many times have you guys voted so far? I just started today and have voted 10 times. Hanley is the starting SS right now but he's only less than 20,000 votes ahead of Rollins. Hopefully we can hold him off!
June 5, 200915 yr I vote 100 times via internet and try to fill out 100 or so paper ballots at stadium
June 5, 200915 yr I start voting as close to the deadline as i can and probably vote 500 times when i do. So far ive voted 25 times online and 5 times at the stadium ballots

June 8, 200915 yr I just got the MLB text that Hanley has fallen to 2nd place. I really don't understand how people can actually vote for Rollins when he's batting .222 and Hanley leads Rollins in almost every category aside from stolen bases.
June 8, 200915 yr Popularity Contest... I really believe the vote should be taken away from the fans...its so stupid
June 8, 200915 yr They should change it so the players and coaches pick the 30 man roster, then the fans vote for who starts out of those guys. That would fix everything.
June 9, 200915 yr Rollins has taken the lead of Hanley http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20090608&content_id=5206512&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb
June 9, 200915 yr I'm doing the Marlins contest thing again this year...and so far have around 12,000 ballots filled out. And haven't turned them in yet, so that'll give Hanley a nice boost.

June 15, 200915 yr Hanley has the best stats for any SS in the NL and he's still behind Rollins who's hitting .217? This is why fans voting i not the greatest idea at times.
June 15, 200915 yr voting for all-star games is a joke. even in basketball, allen iverson got voted in as a starter. i hate how fans get to choose who starts on the team and then the game decides who gets home field. it's bulls***, the team with the better record should get home field, that's why teams play 162 games.
June 15, 200915 yr Over on the Phillies boards here's what they're probably saying: "Yay Rollins is the best SS in the game!!! He's hitting .220 that's amazing and guess what we won and the WS last year. Who is Hanley Ramirez? I'm still drunk from yesterday's game and let's throw some more batteries at J.D. Drew! Our city has f***ed Donnovan McNabb over more times than we can count!" Â Honestly, the Phillies might move into 2nd for my most hated teams in MLB. And sorry, just wanted to vent there.
June 15, 200915 yr I've voted about 200 times so far, but looks like I'm gonna have to keep going. It's just sickening that Rollins is in 1st place. You could make the argument that he's been the WORST SS in the NL this year.

Hardy, Mike Aviles and Khalil Green (who both have less then 150 Ab's).
