Andrew Miller gives up 4 ER in 1 IP before exiting with injury

Featured Replies

Andrew Miller in AAA today gave up 3 hits, 2 walks, 1 HBP, and 4 ER in 1 inning for work before exiting with a sprained ankle.

Just f***ing great. At least it's not a shoulder or elbow injury, but his luck has just been terrible lately. Do they know the severity of the injury? And he has not been good at all since being sent down to the minors..

I guess this means that we won't be seeing him again until next year... :confused

DFA him!!!!! ( Sarcasm)

Any way I remember reading if miller sucked this start the fish might consider a SP more than a bat to trade for.

This is good, means now we're going to shop for our 5th starter, we all know Miller wasn't going to be a tough enough 5th starter to get us far. Hopefully next year he comes around.

Things just keep getting worse for us. Maybe if our team gets hot together we can improve big time; I don't like just sitting back and watch everyone around us improve especially because that Wild Card is ours for the taking.

I've said this before, the Marlins should make a push for a Zach Duke or Paul Maholm.

Getting him would be sweet.

I agree, its there but the Marlins management is just sitting on its hands. Very frustrating. :banghead

It's inevitable now. We are either going to trade for a SP or just give the 5th spot to Badenhop from here on out (if he can handle it). I don't think we'll see West back up anytime soon.

I wouldn't be surprised if we hear something one day about Andrew Miller having anxiety problems.

Might as well finish the Pirates fire sale.

what the hell. The guy was pitching pretty well up here for a while and he's gone into free-fall.

If his purpose in the minors is to actually work on things then I'm not worried about production. As the saying goes, you cannot learn much in victory, you can learn a lot in defeat.

If he's trying he's best in production though then there is certainly a lot to worry about.

Well at least with the injury we can send him down to the minors for a while and let him work on stuff. With a little minor league polishing he should be fine.

Oh wait. Crap.
