Sept. 6 - Marlins ^ Nationals

Pinto did his job. He got Adam Dunn. He shouldn't have faced another batter. Fredi fails, again.

Why Pinto?

because he is a mjor league pitcher who should be able to complete an inning. that and kiko has nt been as sharp either, and not pitching him here when he already had 2 outs is ok in my book.

Tim Wood and Cristhian Martinez are also major league players, but I wouldn't want them in a close game in the 8th either. Pinto has been very bad this year in high leverage and generally puts a ton of guys on-base. That's not what you want in a close game against a team that can rake.

Kiko, on the other hand, hasn't given up a run since August 27th. He only has a 1.176 WHIP in that time as well.

either way, pinto got the first 2 outs and easily deserved a chance for the 3rd

Erick, dont be ridiculous. Renyel Pinto is absolutely awesome. Fredi is a visionary. He knows when to put Pinto in the games...

always!

Well, my argument was why he was in in the first place.

And that's why.

f***ing great.... Pinto is just awesome.

anyone have a place where i can find a stat on inherited runners?

I have no problem with Pinto facing Dunn. Dunn is a much better hitter against righties, and he's struggled against Pinto, in his career.

After that, it made no sense. Kiko should've faced Willingham, and the rest of the guys. He left Pinto in b/c of Pete Orr? Fredi's a douche.

Only Renyel Pinto can get two quick outs and then load the bases. And then of course Kiko gets blamed as well for giving up the hit. Let's get a run here and just win this thing.

Oh, btw, good job Kiko. As responsible as Renyel Pinto is here, so are you.

While he obviously had a part in it, every pitcher gives up hits. Even a pitcher with an amazing 1 WHIP will give up 1 baserunner in an inning.

i dont know how many times ive said this...Pinto is absolute garbage...he just seems decent because he gets lucky from time to time...but most of the time he is absolute crap...he walks atleast one guy every appearance

Exactly, you are basically putting Kiko in a situation where he has to be perfect.
