“Marlins Post Season Special 2010 Season review will air at the completion of the MLB season.

The schedule of 150 Florida Marlins regional game telecasts will be announced at a later date.

UGH, why do they have to do that stuff when I'm in class?

I know right... sigh, i will be missing those games.

I wish there was someway for me to watch all this, being out of state.

There is....subscribe to DirecTV and then get the FOX Sports Package, with all 26 (or is it 27 ?) regional channels. These programs are not blacked out.

On a separate note, it appears that FOX will select three Marlins games to air on the Saturday Game of the Week.

June 5: FLA @ NYM 4:10 PM

July 3: FLA @ ATL TBD

August 28: FLA @ ATL 4:10 PM

FOX will air some Saturday games in primetime, but I don't think July 3rd was a date selected for primetime Saturday Games of the Week. That puts us up to 153 televised games in 2010.

Notice none of them are home games......that empty stadium is not attractive on TV. I sure hope this town starts to get Marlinsmania and go to the games.

Do you know how many games will be available nationally?

I noticed they were all away games, but for a different reason. I like being at nationally televised games. Better atmosphere. There are 3 major reasons why your perception of them being away games is wrong.

Saturday games are not empty stadium games. They are the biggest draws of the week because of the Super Saturday attractions and really pick up those average attendance figures. Add in that they are vs the Mets and the Braves makes them even bigger draws. Finally, nationally televised games do draw better here than other games. It's the place to be seen, a very important factor in South Florida.

How many games on average does FSN Florida Air?

150. Last year we actually had 155 on FSN/Sun because the Rays did 5 of the games of those series and that didn't count against us.

Hey guys,

I hate to bring this old topic back up but i didnt want to start a new one. I know the first post states the 150 game schedule will be released at a later date. When is that normally?

That's a crapshoot. Last year it came out on March 31st and the year before on February 12th. Cape said that the reason it came out so late last year was before the Heat and Panthers were in playoff contention and they had to wait to see how that shaped out.

  • 1 month later...

I'm bumping this because I think it's still relevant. The first broadcasted game is tomorrow.

If this is not allowed, then sorry :$
