I would go with Cody just for the walkoff, but JJ pitched a helluva game to keep it close. Big props to Leo for keeping it a tied game in the 9th though.

I'm actually not going to call JJ the fish of the game, I'm giving it to Marlins pitching. JJ was great tonight, Everyday Clay came out and had another great outing, and then Leo came out and pitched out of the jam his defense put him in, striking out Wright with absolute filth.

Gaby Sanchez fish of the game, imo. A night with great pitching, yet Gaby went 3-3, scored the 1st run, and he saved at least a run with the play he made on Santana early in the game.

 

Looks like our bullpen is finally taking shape a bit, in terms of roles, which is good to see.

Even though I didn't put him in the poll, I though Coghlan had a good game too. He was robbed of a hit thanks to a great play from Reyes and made a great diving play as well. Looks like he's starting to turn things around.

It happens every game. I don't even know why anymore. Gaby's improved at 1B; Fredi's treating this as if Gaby is Mike Jacobs, for some reason.

The FOTG has to be Brett Hayes. There's no way we win this game without his presence in the locker room.

I loved this win. I really hate the Mets, I hate them more then any other team. Sure, the Phillies are pretty close especially with that dickwad, Jimmie Rollins, on the team, but I love to really see the Fish beat those Mets.

 

JJ pitched great, Hensley was solid and Nunez.... man, I love his changeup more with each passing game. It is so god damn filthy.

 

Here's hoping for a big series, I wanna see at least 3 out of the 4 games won.

Man I wish I could have seen this game. Always nice to beat the Mets especially when you beat their ace.

I'm not sure I loved bringing in Nunez for the 9th inning, though, considering how well Hensley has been/was pitching, how putrid our offense has been (our odds of scoring the 9th weren't too great), and the lesser reliability of the rest of our bullpen heading into extras should it have gotten there.

 

Also, just thought I'd mention that Meyer has been up for 4 or 5 games now and hasn't seen the field.

Great pitching and for the most part stellar defense. Barden made some impressive plays but then put us in a bad spot with that error on a play he had no chance on. I guess he was trying to earn himself another start in the series.

 

And BTW, I really, really, REALLY can't stand this Allison Williams bimbo on the sidelines. I mute her 95 percent of the time, but watched her post game interview with Gaby until she said "and that was a great catch by Coghlan in left, I mean right..." I turned the TV off right there because she's so f*cking stupid and I know they are going to start using her more because Craig and Frank aren't as easy on the eyes and they are trying to sex up the broadcasts. LAME. (I'm not sexist, I am a woman...but this ho sets us back 20 years)
