6/28 Post Game

Featured Replies

Marlins win the first game of the PR series, 10-3

W: Nolasco (7-6)

L: Dickey (6-1)

2B: R Nolasco (1); G Sanchez (18); H Ramirez (17)

HR: C Ross (7); C Coghlan (5); M Stanton (2)

very solid offensive game where we finally get key hits and add on.

ricky was very good but again gave up two home runs which needs to stop. the 2-run homer with 2 out in the 7th put a little damper on his day and era.

stanton made some nice adjustments his last two at bats and didnt look like he was just chopping at the ball.

nevertheless well take it and we need plenty more of where this came from and to get cantu and uggla going.

thought we could gain a game with strasburg on the mound but we just need to win and well gain accordingly.

Marlins win 10-3 with plenty of Longballs a a solid outing by Ricky Nolasco giving R.A. Dickey his 1st loss of the season.

2B: Nolasco (1) Sanchez (18) Ramirez (17)

HR: Stanton (2), Ross (7), Coghlan (5)

Nolasco: 7IP 4 H 3 R 9 SO 2 HR.

Nolasco with a great outing and the 2 HR he allowed to Bay aren't homeruns in most MLB ballparks but he managed to limit the damage to just the homeruns.

Also, pretty solid job by Sanches and Veras out of the bullpen limiting the Mets to a hit each in there inning of work.

Coghlan and Cody were stroking tonight.

Coghlan: 2-3 3 R 1 RBI BB HR

Ross: 3-4 2 R 2 RBI HR

Hopefully they can keep this kind of offense up along with solid pitching and finally sweep a series and it would help against a division rival.

Of course i see all of stantons k's but miss his hr. This game means nothing if we dont start building wins and putting streaks together.

Yeah that 2nd homer Nolasco gave up made things interesting since you knew the bullpen was coming into play soon. Stanton will come around on a more consistent basis eventually, he just missed hitting a 3 run shot against the O's lst week, he seems to start off slow when he begins a new level, then after a few months he figures it out... Cody had a nice game at the plate, and Cantu is really cold

Love it. Me too lol.

Anyways... dont know how Ricky is running away with FotG with all the HRs. He's lucky the damage was so limited both times.

Im also surprised that Im the only one who voted for Gaby.

I swear Stanton somehow knows when I don't start him in the UTIL spot on my fantasy team. Every single time I have him in there lately, he goes o-fer. I bench him and he hits a homer. I've had him on the bench for both bombs.:banghead

Cody got my vote I believe he makes the difference in this lineup...BTW anyone wanna consider sitting Cantu for awhile it's getting embarassing...I almost prefer to see Bonifacio at 3rd. Cantu couldnt hit water if he jumped into the ocean right now.

Well what can I say? Keep him on the bench!

I went with Cody, despite giving up only 3 runs, it was the long balls that made me not vote for Ricky... and I hope Cantu starts to hit like April again

Hey calm down there with the Bonifacio thing...

Although yes perhaps Cantu should see some bench time and Uncle Wes should start a series or two.

I fell asleep with the Marlins having a pretty good lead. Naturally I woke up assuming the bullpen must have blown it. I need to stop watching games because Mike Stanton only has good games when I'm not watching.

Cantu has been less then stellar and is not highlighting his trade value lately. I miss Cantu from the beginning of the season. Awesome game by the offense. Other then the long balls, Ricky picthed great, but he was lucky the offense showed up or game over. Stanton had a beautiful swing on the three run shot. It was nice to see and even better seeing Hanleys reaction in the dugout. Its good for him to show some kinda excitment for the team. Solid effort from the team.

Same here! I benched him when he hit the GS and yesterday pre game I dropped him for Corey hart and he went yard
