gizmo
Doubleheaders are tough to sweep. Win the rest of the series please. And Wes Helms is so useless when he starts. Can we cancel that contract please? Give Bonifacio more starts at 3B. He's be on fire the last few weeks
Rabbethan
Double headers aren't that tough to sweep, at least not in the last 9 seasons. Counting today teams have swept 55% of series going back to 2002.
I Love Me Some Fish
Gee, what would the Marlins do without Wes Helms...

CyggyMarlin
AFter tonight's game, we are stuck with Helms for another year :thumbdown... I hope he retires because that P.O.S. is just so damn motherf***ing useless I can't f***ing stand him on this team anymore

canada-marlin24
really leaves a terrible taste in your mouth. i dont even feel like we won today. anibal took us out of it right from the start after stanton's home run. even when we came back and made it 5-4 he went out and had another terrible inning. we have to win the next 2 if we are going to get anything out of this series. and yes i was cursing helms the whole game for those absolutely pathetic at bats that he had. gizmo
Seriously, I know we had a little too much of Bonifacio playing 3B last season, but I really think he's a different player this season and has been more patient. Him platooning with Tracy the rest of the season should be the way to go.
I Love Me Some Fish
Ani has had trouble against Philly this year...weird considering they have been extremely inconsistent at the plate this year.

alejandrasnow
It's like we cancelled the win we had just completed earlier in the day. Frustrating. As for Helms, I just want him to GTFO.
Hotcorner
Anibal was probably overdue for an outing like this.

Please win next two and be 72-67. In any case.... METS are 67-71. Makes me sleep better at night thinking that. :cool

But it makes me wonder if Jerry M will be around next year. I would rather Jerry stays on because I think it increases our chances of being above the MUTS, lolol
MrMarlinPride
Yeah didn't catch much of this one, just saw that Anibal didn't pitch well, Sosa didn't help the cause either. Glad to see the homeruns from Hanley, Giancarlo and Maybin. Wish we could've swept the Double Header but that's just how the season has been up and down, players are hot, players struggle. All I hope for is to beat those Phucking Phillies and help the Braves get into the playoffs.

Maybe he's hit the wall. Who knows. It's extremely disappointing though, this team continues to be a tease.
alejandrasnow
Silver lining: Mikey's swing is looking better. Even his outs were loud. His throw to get Domonic Brown was amazing and it gave me this great picture.
Erick
Anibal's poor 2nd inning can be at least half credited to the douche umpire who didn't call the 3-2 changeup he threw right down the middle for a strike to Domonic Brown. It changed the inning, entirely. The Phillies got yet another call to go their way. Not surprising, just stating a fact. The strike zone was f***ing horrible.
