They act like Tallon wants Luongo so bad and we should be grateful to give up our prospects for a goaltender like Luongo. Damn I hate these people. They just totally ignore the fact that we don't want anything to do with Luongo. Especially for our prospects. They need to go out and build their own prospect pool like we did. We earned this talent with years of depression. They just don't want to have to pay the price. They need to just stay away from us. They're like a stalker or something. Can we get a restraining order?

July 17, 201214 yr We'll see what happens. A lockout is the worst thing that could happen to the potential surging popularity of the NHL is the US. It's still nowhere near NFL/NBA/MLB in that regard, but any more setbacks like the one in 2004 would be 5 steps back. Hopefully something gets done by September.
July 19, 201214 yr The Philadelphia Flyers have agreed to a 14 year offer sheet to Shea Weber worth at least $100 milion according to reports. If Nashville doesn't match they could get 4 first round picks as compensation. If I was Nashville I would take it. That's two first rounders a year for 4 years straight. Plus all your normal later picks. I mean hell, they were not a lock to win a cup with Weber, and I'm not saying they wouldn't but if a deal like this comes along you take it. I don't care how late Philly picks in the first round. One team coming up twice in the first round for 4 years straight, that's unheard of.

The fanbase was pissed enough after losing out on Suter. I just won't be surprised when they don't match it and come up with some excuse involving their finances. Still, its not a terrible return for them. They can always use those picks to trade up.

Next year's draft is supposed to be very deep as well (even thought they say that often....) Package some of those picks in the right trades, and they can have a draft like we did 3 years ago when we got Guds, Howden and Bjugstad.

He also hasn't played many games even at the minor league level. Tallon made it seem like he'll compete for a top-6 spot and his scouting report indicates that he's a boom or bust type of player. (kinda like Mike Santorelli)
