2011-2012 Florida Panthers/NHL Thread

Featured Replies

Panthers are bringing Clemmensen back on a two year deal, around $1.5 mil cap hit.

We'll see what happens now with the Luongo fiasco.

**** it. Just sign Broduer, trade for Luongo, and call up Markstrom.

And then trade Jovo for Lundqvist

Semin all over the place.

Panthers sign former 1995 pick Filip Kuba on a 2 year/$8mil deal. He had a decent season last year and this all but confirms that Garrison is long gone.

Good on the PK, might pair well with either Campbell or Kulikov.

You guys seem intent on this outcome, but I think you should just relax, don't do it.

I don't see the issue with it to be honest. He wouldn't exactly be a leader...

We simply can't and wont afford Parise although that's ideal. Maybe Rick Nash. Bobby Ryan. Dreaming.

We need scoring. Where's Pavel Bure when you need him? But seriously I think Tallon is looking at two or three years from now before he thinks the team will start to contend so he's not going to go after the big FA or the big trade until then at least. That will be just to supplement what we have here. It's all about building through the draft. And so he is just letting that take it's course and on top of that foundation he is going to lay the big FA's and the big trades.

Garrison is a Canuck. 6 years, 4.6 per year.

I know that we could have matched the dollar amount, but not the amount of years. Don't know how to feel here.

At least he didn't go to Tampa.

You guys seem intent on this outcome, but I think you should just relax, don't do it (WHEN YOU WANNA....)

With gudbranson and potential Howden and huberdeau ready the time to add a key free agent is now.

We can't afford to miss the playoffs anymore.

I think Huberdeau and Howden could very well be our acquisitions, based on Tallon's interview today.

What interview was that? I didn't see it.

I think the general understanding has been "we will keep all options available but expect this offseason to be re-signings, gap fillings, and youngster callups".

Yup. I'm just hoping we can bring in Jokinen then call it an offseason.
