December 8, 201114 yr It would be great if Chris Coghlan ever decided to come out of retirement and play like he did in '09. Maybe then we could put him in LF, move LoMo to first, and send Gaby off in a package for a nice peice in the rotation. YES, I KNOW the A's don't want him...
December 8, 201114 yr When are the Marlins going to introduce Buehrle? I know it is tomorrow but I am unsure of the time.

It has nothing to do with the A's "not wanting him." Gaby's value just isn't high enough to bring in a decent starting pitcher. The fact that so many people here are so willing to ship him out (as if he's so expendable) should be a solid indicator that his value isn't that high.
December 9, 201114 yr Brendan_Tobin Brendan Tobin RT @MarlinsMedia: #Marlins to hold press conference tomorrow for media at 11 am at New Ballpark Sales Headquarters
December 9, 201114 yr Will the press conference be on Marlins.com? Probably but hasn't been mentioned yet.

YES, I KNOW the A's don't want him... off-topic, and I'm going to have to look this up, but when's the last time a ROY dropped off the face of the earth like Coghlan has? I mean do we even figure he'll be on the big squad to start the season? It's just really odd. Hopefully he finds his way back into the mix here and putting some injuries aside will get him back on track.

In fact, he was just traded to the Rockies yesterday and they're banking that Coors might be able to bring him back to life. Guy went from over .800+ OPS and 20 homers to hitting .150 last year. WOW.
December 9, 201114 yr I dont see anything about it being on Marlins.com. Yeah, me either. Looks like it may not be.
