Sooo how many of you are gonna cry in case we lose Bell, Reyes, and Buehrle in the future?

Not trying to be a Debbie Downer but they seem like very loveable guys and it would suck to lose them.

I was just now reading a White Sox forum. They REALLY loved this guy, even after he left them. It is rare and nice to know.

A lot of my friends are Sox fans.. between losing Guillen and Buehrle, they are bummed.

Everyone will love him. Great clubhouse guy and always a fan-favorite.

Look brah the troll a bethan award is mine.

No, you tried way too hard and became obvious rather quick.

Having watch a bunch of white sox games, because ozzie and hawk crack me up, Buehrle is an absolute rock of consistency. I also love the fact that he just takes the ball and throws it. No shaking his head, staring down the batter just rock and fire. It really disturbs a bunch of hitters.

LeBetard had Boog on earlier & Boog said Buehrle would worry him because of the age, velocity, etc.

meh, he doesn't really rely on velocity anyway so I don't really buy it. And he's 32, not 38 or something.... wtf Boog.

Buehrle's pretty much been the same pitcher his entire career.

People need to realize that he's not going to be an ace. He'll give you solid numbers and a lot of innings, which is all I want. His consistency is also a plus.

I'm not too worried about Buehrle's health or performance. The money is still a little too high, though.

That's basically it for me. I think we overpaid a tad, but that's really important considering our ace is injury prone.

He's a solid #2, which is what we really needed. Anibal is a great #3, Ricky can work at #4 and we'll see about #5. Of course, signing another solid 2 or 3 would help greatly.

if we get cj wilson then that would help ALOT and who knows what else the marlins can pull off?

Ozzie Guillen: "People always criticize #Marlins bc they never spend any $. Now they spend $ & they're criticized 4 how much $ they got!"

I love this guy

Fun fact: Mark Buehrle has one career homerun and it came off former Marlin Braden Looper, who we acquired in the '97 fire sale in exchange for Edgar Renteria, who hit a HR off CJ Wilson in the 2010 WS.

Bam!

Is that actually him, or his son, or whoever used to get him in trouble with the ChiSox?

Does this mean we can expect a no hitter/perfect game in the future?

Always expect that. But watch Chris do it first. If he's still around.

Doing things the right way by filling what they deem as needs first. Let's see what else they see as a need. Then go after some other guys, such as Shields. Just don't give up too much because of one good year. When you have money to spend you still need to spend it wisely.

I'm glad we got Buerhle but I still think its not the final piece of the puzzle, at least I hope it is not. Another pitcher (#4-5) and a veteran hitter would be nice.

Still think its a bit too much money but its a slim free agent class
