I think they'll try to acquire a starter instead of signing anyone left from the scrap heap.

 

Trade market is pretty ridiculous right now though. Would have to give up a lot to get a quality starter.

 

Edwin Jackson or Roy Oswalt would still be good pickups IMO.

 

Right, if we are wanting to win we cant be given up our young cheap major league ready talent like Gaby or Lomo. It be different if we had acquired Pujols or Fielder.

LoMo & Stanton will only improve, and if Hanley is still here and gets his head on right, with the increased speed on the basepaths, and better rotation, we have easily 83-87 wins, and with luck we could get to 90-92. That's wildcard territory, and as we have proven twice before, that's all you need. If we are close, we will bolster the team to go for the jugular, so what you see now, is not what will probably be seen on opening day, and certainly not what you will see if its July 25th and we are leading the division, or one or two games out.
