When will Cespedes go on the market? If CJ falls through I feel we'll go after him, but won't we be in a bidding war with the mighty Yankees?

So now that I've had to sleep on this, I'm of two minds on CJ. It would have been great to get him on our roster, but, I've always had questions about his big game gene. Also, next years pitching class is going to be absolutely frickin nuts in comparison to this year...

its not about greed its about putting a team out there that will stand a chance for the playoffs, i understand they've had amazing signings already but i dont think it is enough if they're real about going big in october

If you think about it, though, if we can get a healthy JJ and a bounce-back Hanley, it'll be like we got 5 players this off-season if Buehrle was our final signing. Think of it that way. However, I'd definitely love to get CJ or Prince + trade.

But if we're gonna contend were gonna need gaby to put together a full year of consistent batting, Also boni is still a mystery, In the sense of can he put together another year like last year, i sure hope so. Trade market is pretty ridiculous right now though. Would have to give up a lot to get a quality starter.

We could maybe get a starter at the deadline then re sign him. The FA pitchers next year are good.

 

But damn, miss on Pujols then he lures away another guy we want. You go to LA Albert where no one will cover you anymore. ESPN only cares about the east coast.
