If relievers are tired, they're tired. they can pitch 3 straight days. not the end of the world. don't send a relief pitcher to hit in the 10th inning with the winning run on 1st and 3rd. if it was someone like zambrano, hypothetically, fine, but not gaudin, I think it would've been the 4th straight day for the middle relievers. In total, our bullpen has pitched a lot. Cishek and Mujica are among the league leaders in appearances already.
April 15, 201214 yr Just realized Gaudin threw more balls than strikes and still threw 3 scoreless innings. He was also getting squeezed by the home plate umpire on some pitches.

April 15, 201214 yr this team is a very different animal if Hanley returns to form...we've all seen teases of it from time to time last season..here's to hoping no freak accidents and that he gets rounded into form and Boner and Reyes form an upgraded version of JP and Luis at the top of the order.

April 15, 201214 yr Loved hearing the crowd when Infante homered and with Hanley's big hits. And I am genuinely in love with the home run feature. Everyone trashes it, and then when someone jacks one out it says, "F**k you, we're awesome!" Joey and Ozzie have been managing AL style, so it's interesting to see the decision making, like letting Gaudin hit. Those guys in the pen do need rest. But Joey probably would have gotten more flak for it had the Marlins lost. Back to re-watching Infante's homer, Hanley's homer and walk-off hit.
